Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino has admitted that he could be tempted to sell star striker David Suazo at the end of the season.
The Honduran international is allegedly ready to leave the islanders and was recently linked with both Milan outfits, who have been impressed by his recent performances.
“I am glad I didn’t sell Suazo during the summer, although I know that staying at Cagliari was a sacrifice for him as to his ambitions,” explained Cellino.
“As a club we invested heavily in keeping a player like him and today I am very glad he is here. I don’t know what our situation would be if he had left us,” added the Rossoblu President.
“Now we have a written agreement with the player, allowing him free himself whenever he wants to. If he decides to accept an important offer, I will let him go – I owe it to him.”
The player, who moved to Sardinia in 1999, is contracted until 2010 and the latest reports suggest that he might leave for something around £10m, with Inter his probable destination.
The Nerazzurri might offer players in exchange, as Cagliari are interested in Marco Andreolli as well Ibrahimic Maaroufi and Sebastian Ribas, who could land in Sardinia on loan.
Cagliari are currently seventh from the bottom with 23 points, only six clear of the drop zone, and will host Lazio at the Stadio Sant’Elia on Sunday.

Milan would be a better pick. He would play more in Milan, and they are 2 signings away from being their former selves. ie: ahead of Inter.

Milan should have signed him in the summer, I'm not sure they need him now they have Ronaldo.

Inter have Adriano as a powerful forward, as inconsistent as he is. Suazo and Ronaldo is better than Gila and Ronaldo imo. Suzao adds pace to the frontline, something Milan dont have.

You're right but I can't see Milan ditching Gilardino just yet.

I don't think Suazo will go anywhere to be honest. Inter and Milan could of signed him long ago and nothing yet. Each club is stacked...maybe Milan could of used him, but with Ronaldo, no chance!

Sevilla wanted him in the summer but had a big bid rejected (£8m-11m rumoured).
Sevilla could be an option, they are 2nd in La Liga at the moment and will get CL football. He could be a good partner for Kanoute who's doing well with Fabiano at the moment.

He'd do well in Spain.
All I know is he's good enough to be at a bigger club than Cagliari.

Suazo is valued at £11m and Inter might also offer an exchange deal, as Cagliari are reportedly interested in Marco Andreolli, Ibrahim Maaroufi and Sebastian Ribas.

If this turns out to be true...i guess Inter won't go after Cassano. Hope Suazo goes to Inter. He deserves a big club!

Suazo is a quality player but not good enough to play for Inter.

I think he deserves a chance, his goalscoring record over the last few seasons speaks for itself (and with a fairly weak side).
The only issue is his price tag.

Cagliari's Suazo coy over Inter Milan link
tribalfooball.com - March 07, 2007
Cagliari striker David Suazo has baulked questions over a potential move to Inter Milan at the end of the season.
Inter and Cagliari reportedly have an agreement over the Honduras international, who has also attracted enquiries from Real Madrid this season.
Asked about his future last night, Suazo would only say: "It's difficult for me to talk about my future. I have a contract with Cagliari until 2010. That's all I know."

Basically he's waiting for his chance to move. He deserves it. If not Inter, then maybe the English league or Spain. Wish him the best wherever he lands!

It seems Suazo has a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave Cagliari.
