Well there's the fact he isn't a starter (and won't be yet) and there's the issue of him wanting far more money than Inter are willing to offer him.

He needs to be careful because he could potentially have a great career in front of him with Inter but if he wants to piss off people like Mourinho and Moratti then he appears to be going the right way about it.

He's just getting bad advice from his agent. This will all get settled soon enough.

At Chelsea he is not gauranteed a starting spot either. Cooler heads will prevail.

Now, he will have to await from his agent to see what Chelsea will offer...but with that contract, how can he turn it down. Looks like he will remain at Inter.

Inter’s teen sensation Mario Balotelli is ready to sign a contract extension with the Beneamata and has set some ambitious targets.

At the age of 17, Balotelli stole the headlines with a crucial brace in last term’s Coppa Italia quarter-final triumph over Juventus.

And the gifted youngster played an increasingly important role in Roberto Mancini’s attack, often beating David Suazo and Hernan Crespo to a starting shirt.

Despite insisting that he could leave and showing little attachment to the Nerazzurri shirt while negotiating his first full senior contract, Balotelli does now seem ready to commit to the Italian champions.

“There is an agreement for a contract renewal,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I want to thank Mancini for giving me the chance to play, but Jose Mourinho is a great Coach and he won’t take age into consideration.

“My main objective is the Champions League and I also can’t wait to represent Italy.

“I have suffered a great injustice in that I was born in Italy and have always lived here, but I have to wait until I am 18 to get a passport.”

The son of Ghanaian immigrants, Balotelli was born in Palermo before being entrusted to Italian parents by the courts.

In spite of living in the peninsula all his life, Super Mario has missed out on playing for the Azzurri at the Olympic Games as he doesn’t turn 18 until August 12 and can’t obtain the necessary citizenship documents.

The brother and agent of Inter starlet Mario Balotelli has given the details of the Nerazzurri’s contract offer.

The Palermo-born hitman blasted his way to recognition in the peninsula with a Coppa Italia quarter-final double against Juventus.

And Super Mario continued to keep David Suazo out of the team with a series of accomplished performances.

While the youngster is clearly a star for the future, he had hinted he may leave before Inter’s latest contract offer.

“The agreement was reached last week and we just need to iron out the final details,” Corrado Balotelli told Radio Radio.

“Mario is happy and now it is up to him to earn his place with so many great strikers at the club.

“We have called for a five-year contract that will tie him to the club until 2013 at £1m per season, plus bonuses related to the club’s performances.”

Balotelli had been on a youth salary, earning just £60,000 per year.

There had been rumours that Chelsea were considering a swoop, but it now seems that Balotelli’s future lies in Nerazzurri.

The arrival of Jose Mourinho has prompted a major shake up at the San Siro and Inter are currently chasing a number of top class players including the Ajax forward.

Huntelaar has hit the net 70 times in 82 games for the Amsterdam club, using the Eredivisie as a shop window for his goalscoring prowess.

Reports in Italy have linked the man to both Juventus and Inter but with Amauri's arrival in Turin, Inter seems the only viable option.

However, his agent has revealed that he has spoken to the player and Huntelaar has snubbed the Italian Champions.

Former Roma player and transfer consultant Paolo Alberto Faccini spoke to Oosterveer and he has revealed their conversation.

“I spoke with Huntelaar's agent and I told him the names of the Italian teams interested in his player,” Faccini told Radio Centro Suono.

“When I told the agent about Inter, he told me that he spoke to Huntelaar and the player said that he was not really interested in moving to the Nerazzurri.”

Jose Mourinho is likely to bring in some further players to his side and Frank Lapmard seems next in line to join the Italian Champions.
