Default Inter in C. Ronaldo Race

I truly hope Inter can land this deal.....Cristiano is the best winger around.

Quote:
Inter plan Ronaldo raid
Thursday 8 February, 2007
Inter might join the race to sign Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the latest reports.

The Portuguese midfielder, who scored his 15th goal of the season in United’s 4-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday, is being linked with a summer move, with several important clubs interested in his services.

The international is valued at £35m and is contracted to the Premiership outfit until 2010, but could leave in the summer, despite the Red Devils insisting that the player is not for sale at any price.

Inter will celebrate their Centenary in March 2008 and Massimo Moratti (pictured) is allegedly eager to honour the important occasion with prestigious signings, with Ronaldo one of the names on his wish list.

The 22-year old could therefore replace Luis Figo, who will leave the Nerazzurri in June to move to Arabian side Al-Ittihad,

The Premiership top scorer and Portugal captain is also a reported target for Barcelona and Real Madrid and recently admitted that he was unsure of what the future held for him.

“I don’t know where I will be in six months, I only know that I want to play at the highest levels and win as much as possible,” the winger told The Sun.

According to Times, Manchester United will offer Ronaldo an improved deal to try and persuade him to stay at Old Trafford.

Well Inter are in my opinion one of the best teams in the world at the moment and will just get better next season. Real are going through some difficult times at the moment so that leaves Barca. I don't think Cristiano will go based on fan support, as he said, he wants to win as much as possible and there's no other place then Barca and Inter at the moment.

Inter are at least as good as Madrid and Barca at the moment but he'd probably favour a move to Spain given the option.

Ya, i think he will go there as well. But credit Inter for trying. Ronaldo is a fantastic player, who wears his heart on his sleeve. He has great passion. I just wish he was Italian so he could play for our NT.

And to think we nearly signed him before he went to Man Utd, that would have been class.

Ya, that's too bad. A player like this doesn't come around too often...

Pure class...fast forward to 3/4 of the video...The weight of a country on his shoulders...i love his reaction after he scores!

I can't see this happening.

IF he leaves, which as much as I'd hate, I'm not ruling out although I still think he'll stay next season, it'll be to go to Spain, I think he'd prefer to stay at Utd than move to Italy considering he says he's happy at Utd and it's his dream to play in Spain and a big move to Italy would make that less likely.

Inter and Moratti are fans of C.Ronaldo, but he is not the player that we want and we can't deal with United.

Certain teams deal with each other regularly. Our main big signing in the next few seasons will be Messi. That is our priority.

Barca and Inter have dealed in the past, and they will deal in the future.

Oh really, bigger?

Barca is bigger than Inter? I believe Barca is just behind us.

So by your rational, nobody would ever pick Arse then?

Not going to happen. He is more suited for Spain, as in he would excell more there thx to free flowing attacking football without any regard for defense.

Completely agree.

Having said this, I do expect Queresma to come to Italy in the near future, and I hear all three big sisters are interested in him.
