Exclamation Quaresma to Inter - DEAL DONE!!

Quote:
Rui Costa Tips Quaresma And Veloso For Calcio Glory SL Benfica’s veteran midfield number 10 Rui Manoel Costa has highlighted both FC Porto’s Ricardo Quaresma and Sporting’s Miguel Veloso (pictured with Figo) as two players who are ripe for a move to Serie A and would triumph in Italy.

Rui Costa made the declarations whilst with the Benfica squad in Dubai, some of which were published in Italy’s ‘Gazzeta dello Sport’ and others in Portugal’s ‘Record’. After 12 years of experience in Italy the ex-Viola idol had it clear who’re the best transfer targets in Portugal.
“Quaresma is really on red-hot form and he’s finally getting to the point where he’s showing his full potential in almost every match. There’s also Miguel Veloso who’s a young and highly talented midfielder who everybody will be speaking about soon”, explained the player.

Both moves, however, will have to come at a price. Sporting recently renewed Miguel Veloso’s contract until 2013 and are in the middle of doing the same for Yannick Djaló, Moutinho and Nani to ward off potential buyers.
FC Porto’s Quaresma has also been linked to Atlético Madrid but the player and club turned down the Rojiblanco offer. Quaresma recently revealed that he wouldn’t reject a move back to Barcelona, but his feelings on playing the Calcio are unknown.
Both players are attainable if the buyer is willing to part with around 20 million Euros per player, despite the combined penalty clause in case of a buyout reaching a highly theoretical 250 million Euros.

I'd love to see Quaresma in Italy, he's a class player.

I reckon Inter could make a move for him.

I agree, I think he could be on the way. This is not first I've heard of him. We have another option on the table right now, if that fails, we go to option two.

Well put it this way, he'd be cheaper than Mancini.

There's a risk though as you don't know how well he'll adapt to Italian football, I mean he's already failed in Spain. I think he'll do alright though, he's matured a lot at Porto.

don't know about Spain or remember.

Mancini is a top five winger in Europe, while Queresma??

We'll see, I really don't expect anything for now.

Quaresma has a lot of potential though.

He was at Barca for one year a few seasons ago but he didn't seem to hit it off. I just put it down to the fact that he was only 19.

An approach to Porto has been made and Inter know that they will sell Quaresma in the summer for the right price.

I don't think that Serie A suits his style of play.

And he has said that he prefers La Liga.

Porto won't sell for less than 25m €

"Well, that was fun... in a fuckin' terrible, sick, not-at-all-fun way."

Ricardo Quaresma: forever a Porto legend. Thank you for all the memories.

like all the portuguese players they over value, and don't forget his making close to 1.5m euros a year salary, if he moves his salary got be in the 2.5 million dollars range

his worth every penny, Sporting wants 20 million euros for Nani

I think he'd do well in Italy, just like Figo has done.

And I doubt Porto will get that much for him, their valuation is a little unrealistic.

We will sign one winger I feel, but he has to be flexible.

What I mean by this, somebody who can play AM, CM or even striker. As of late, Italian clubs have been looking at players who are even more flexible.

Not sure about this player can do this?

In a way you already have that player - Stankovic.

Quaresma would be a replacement for Figo right ?

Figo can play in the midfield and on both flanks, Quaresma can only play on the wings.

Plus, Figo is a workhorse, Quaresma isn't. Not sure if we do be a very good replacement.

If Inter want a versatile winger, I would say Simão. He can play on both wings and can play as AM. He is playing AM for Benfica this season.
