Ron 'would love' Inter comeback
Ronaldo has again expressed his desire to play in the Nerazzurri shirt once again and was met with a favourable response by the club.
“The feelings I have for Inter are very strong,” admitted the Brazilian after Real Madrid’s 0-0 draw at Partizan Belgrade.
“I will always have the Nerazzurri fans in my heart and really hope that in the near future I can go back there. It would be wonderful to play with Inter again.”
Il Fenomeno made no secret of the fact he only walked out on the club following a spat with Hector Cuper, but now that the Argentine has been sacked he could make a shock turnaround.
“I am glad Cuper was fired,” he announced. “The Coach had treated me badly and brought nothing to Inter and over the last two or three years only disappointed the fans with an ugly style of play.”
There are several different issues that could make this move possible, including the fact Real Madrid have only paid a small fraction of his £30m fee.
“My contract expires in 2006,” added Ronaldo, “but you never know in football. One cannot predict the future.”
The recent FIFA ruling ordered Madrid to hand over an extra £7m within 30 days after Santiago Solari’s proposed switch to Inter collapsed.
It is possible that with the inclusion of Ivan Cordoba and wiping the debt clean Ronaldo could come back at the end of the season.
President Massimo Moratti was asked about these latest statements from the striker and noted, “I will only say that there is a strong bond between Ronaldo and Inter. It is still too early to discuss anything else.”

I guess Real's coach is treating him badly now too.

Inter doesn't need whiners like him, they have great attackers such as Vieri, Recoba, Kallon, Cruz and Martins. Why would they spend their money on a player who embarresed them not long ago?

Correction, Vieri is a whinner and while I do think this spat with ronaldo is unforgivable, it sure would be good to see him at Inter again!!!

Interesting Chili, but to get Ronaldo back we have to spend an arm and a leg, and we don't really need any more strikers. We have to many now. We should concentrate on getting some players to support our bench, as I feel this team is close to being complete....with the exception of an another defender.

Well he once stated, that his father is a GREAT INTER fan, and when he went to Europe to play, that it was INTER and nothing else. Cuper gone now, so it might happen. Real does owe INTER money, so some deal will be made in the next year or so, regarding that.

I don't think its a good idea for him to come back to Inter, he really isn't need even when Vieri leaves plus he wanted Vieri to come and play at Real so i bet if he comes he will want to go and play in england cuase Virei is there. Just a big waste of money for a useless
man.

DB, Italians not only judge a player from what he does on the field, but also what comes out of his mouth. He is not very popular in Italy at the moment.
In regards to being a legend, I'm not sure I agree with that either. Platini, Baggio, Bergomi, Altobelli, Conti, Rossi, Zoff....are legends.

lol, what are you saying man,how could you even begin to doubt he is not a legend,he has an amazing record as it stand's and was unstoppable prior to his injury,as now he still manage's to maintain an extremely good goal scoring record,he has won the world cup and golden boot not to mention world footballer of the year awards and south american footballer of the year, the list continues and he still has lot's more to offer,to even doubt this man wont be a legend by the time he retires is rubbish,,all the guys you mentioned were good but for me ronaldo was far more dangerous and unstoppable when he had the ball at his feet, mybe it's a good thing he got injured cause he made most footballer's look like fool's and he still doe's and he's not even at his best,oh and i tihnk martins and ronaldo would make a lovely couple upfront.

Let me rephrase...yes he is a legend, but NOT a RESPECTED LEGEND. Does that make more sense? I'm sorry if I hurt any one with my comment, I meant no disrespect toward his accomplishments. I just don't like him, he left my team, and now he wants to come back??? No, we don't want him, and I'll be pissed if it ever happens. :x
We don't want or need Ronaldo, we have Adriano, Vieri, Cruz, Recoba, Martins...honestly, the fact of the matter is, we don't really need him. Roberto Carlos is another matter, he's class and well respected.

it's all good bro,it's more clearer now what your intention was to say,yes i can't really understand your feeling toward's ronaldo as i am not a huge fan of inter although i am a huge fan of the up and coming martin's and ofcourse ronaldo,i think inter are a great team, recoba i hope can maintain his performance he carried form the last match,i rate him very highly when he's on his game.

I think he can, he an anomaly, he gets hot, then cools off, gets injured...just needs to get on a hot streak..Recoba that is.
Ronaldo is not hated by all INTER fans, I'm different, I always put the team first, and any player second, because I believe nobody is greater than the team.
Its funny, you like Maradona, I love Maradona, for all the bad things he did, he still is highly respected in Italy. He's seen regularly at Serie A games, and such. He was in Milan, earlier in the year, for a CL match.
Why? I'm not sure, but his love for the game, the country and Serie A might have something to do with it....and he kicked the Azzuri butts, on a few occasions...
