Adriano-Ronaldo To Lead Inter's Attack?

Inter Milan striker Adriano claims that Real Madrid striker Ronaldo has a soft spot for former club Inter Milan, and it is just a matter of time before he makes a return to the San Siro.
“Ronnie has always loved Inter and the city of Milan, and I think he will be happy to make a return because he carries Inter in his heart”, Adriano said.

According to recent reports Real Madrid will be happy to swap Ronaldo for Adriano, as well as US$15 million.

Although a move is likely Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti doesn’t discard an Adriano-Ronaldo strike partnership at Inter.

“Technically they understand each other almost to perfection, like we will see in the World Cup”, Moratti said.

Ronaldo has scored eight times for Real Madrid this season, but has missed several matches due to injury.

Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have recently shown an interest in the phenomenal Brazilian.

Ronaldo has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and returning to Inter Milan.

The Brazilian has had a mixed time of it this season, scoring goals consistently but struggling with injuries, and there have been reports of a possible swap deal involving Ronaldo and Inter forward Adriano.

But the 29-year-old has stressed that he will only leave if Real decide to get rid of him, and he has vowed to rediscover his best form ahead of the World Cup to make sure that does not happen.

"I will only leave Madrid if they decide they don't want me and I hope that doesn't happen," he said.

"I know I will be 100 percent in January. I'm very motivated because of the World Cup and I want to be in really good form and in high spirits after winning something with Real Madrid this season."

A lot of fans were ****ed the way ronaldo left inter, they had signs saying they didn't even want him as a tourist.

That swap-deal is horseshiit , it makes absolutely no sense for inter. And so is a possible partnership for adriano-ronaldo. nonetheless moratti was just being a gentleman commenting on it, making some suspense. most owners would be dull and immediately deny it.

The possibility that Ronaldo completes a shock reunion with his former club Inter gained momentum today following the words Nerazzurro president Massimo Moratti expressed over the Brazilian superstar.
“Back in the days it seemed that Ronaldo would never leave Inter, and instead he left us. Now it is not impossible that he returns” Moratti told reporters the day after Inter’s 4-0 thrashing of Reggina.

“But if we decided that we wanted him back, we would need to be sure he wants to come back, and also make sure he was perfectly fit,” he added.

If Ronaldo ends up returning to Inter he will form a lethal all-Brazilian attacking duo with team-mate Adriano, who Moratti guarantees will remain at Inter also next year.

“He won’t move from here, also because nobody has asked us for him lately. However, the Adriano we have seen this season is not the real Adriano. Even if he scored yesterday, he must do more, become the real leader of this team, he can do much more,” he said.

Thanks to the Reggio Calabria result, Inter now stand eight points behind league leaders Juventus, and with more than half the season left to be played, Moratti believes Inter are still in the hunt for the Scudetto.

“There are 66 points left from now to the end of the season. If we play like we did in Reggio, we can catch-up,” he said.

Let me add, the relationship between Ronaldo(Burger King) and Moratti is very good. They talk regularly from what I hear. If Ronaldo is not wanted at Madrid, he will return home. That's how it is. Partnership? Ronaldo is not getting any younger, I'm not so certain that both couldn't play together or that he wouldn't accept the bench.

Swap deal for Adriano is not in the cards, and incredibly stupid.

Unhappy Brazil striker Ronaldo has asked to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to reports in Spain.

The two-time World Player of the Year is no longer happy at the Spanish giants, where he has lost popularity among the supporters following a string of below-par performances.

He was reported – by Spanish daily ABC – to have spoken of his desire to leave with outgoing sporting director Arrigo Sachi after training on Monday.

During Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Osasuna, the 29-year-old was again subjected to jeers and boos from sections of the crowd at the Bernabeu and is said to have also been criticised by his own teammates in the dressing room afterwards.

The news is sure to alert Inter, whose owner Massimo Moratti yesterday refused to rule out a move to re-sign their former striker. "His return is not impossible," he said. "In this life, you never know…"

Reports in Italy have suggested today that one of the reasons Inter haven’t followed up on their interest in Roma striker and Real target Antonio Cassano is in order to win favour with Los Meringues and smooth Il Fenomeno’s safe return to the San Siro at the end of the season.

Ronaldo spent five years with Inter between 1997-2002, during which time he had mixed fortunes including a career-threatening injury which kept him out of the game for the better part of two-and-a-half years.
