MD15:Inter v Milan.."The DerbY!"
The big one, I thought I would start this one early, even though we have a game tomorrow.
All time series in Serie A only is...
Inter wins 57
Draws 52
Milan win 55
This doesn't include any CL or Coppa Italia or anything else for that matter, not even derby of peace in 02.
Overall Milan have a sizeable advantage....
Inter wins 87
Draws 72
Milan wins 103

As a Juve fan, a draw would make me happy.
But if I put my Juve feelings aside, I want Inter to beat the living crap out of AC Milan and for Materazzi to do something stupid so Galliani can take revenge and suspend him for the rest of the season.

Defense should be the key to an inter win, but we also must attack. Getting through that back line isn't as difficult as it once was.

Now is the time to finally bury this "demon" once and for all, and get back to it.
Is a Kaka still out?

Kaka played yesterday, and scored a wonderful strike. He will play, so I imagine a full strength Milan.
I think our wing play, and speed should come into play. I think we are faster every where on the pitch, except in midfield, where I think we are even.

Kaka scored 2 last night. The key, as usual in the derby, is our wastefulness in the last third & the box. We must be decisive & take full advantage of any openings we create. This is usually the difference in these games. Milan will create few chances but finish them. We will control large parts of the game but snatch at our chances. The players must stay cool, focused & decisive. I think Figo is gonna give us a nice edge & Recoba can cause a lot of trouble for Milans' back 4. Is he playing though?

We have to do all of that, and stop Kaka. He is the key for victory for them. Shut him down, you have a better chance.
Our midfield selections will be interesting.

Difficult player to shut down. You need a deep sitting dm; a "5th" defender"; who doesn't go forward. We don't have such a player & besides, we don't play that way. It will have to be a zonal aproach. responsibility will pass to relevant players. gonna be a tough game for us defensively. as usual. maybe Cambio will be told to stay deep & not get forward to often. I think you're correct in saying our width will be important here.

Figo doesn't have pace like he used too, but Milan' s defense is not young either. Should prove interesting.
The last Serie A match, not CL, we sort of dominated, but had no luck, and Dida stood on his head.
This is our home game, so the Meazza will be filled with mostly Inter supporters, and we should see a new Curva display.

Traditionially, the first match of the Milan derby has new Curva displays.
Not always though. Milan has made them for Juve and in the CL as further they go.
Inter make one big one a year, I expect it on Sunday.
They will probably make one for the upcoming CL match at home, as that will be their first.
It could also depend on opposition. If we play an English team, look for something.
