Yeah, and Inter have been looking at quite a few wingers.

However, it looks like they've got Quaresma now and Mancini appears close to a move as well.

I was wondering about Mancini now that they signed Quaresma and Lampard. I hope he signs with Inter and isn't a starter....Mancini is lucky Roberto isn't the coach anymore...or they would have a falling out immediately.

Prade Flies To Milan To Conclude Mancini To Inter Deal

The Nerazzurri are keen on striking a deal for the Brazilian and they have been entangled in talks with Roma as well as the player and his representatives.

Jose Mourinho has stated his desire to sign a top-class middle man and Mancini could be the first to arrive if both clubs can agree a fee.

According to Il Romanista, Inter are ready to offer the Giallorossi €10m plus Nigerian striker Victor Obinna who is currently on loan at Chievo Verona.

However, the deal, although it sounds good, may not convince Roma to part company with Mancini as the Giallorossi are only looking for a cash lump sum rather than money plus a player.

Prade is likely to try and convince Inter to raise the stakes as his club are not looking to give Inter a Dutch bargain given the rivalry between the two sides.

Mancini is keen to want out of the Olimpico having fallen out with coach Luciano Spalletti, the two would often argue and Mancini fell out of favour with the Bald-headed tactician which has only fuelled the speculation surrounding his exit.

Chelsea let Crespo leave
Thursday 3 July, 2008
Chelsea have officially released Argentine striker Hernan Crespo, who spent the last two seasons at Inter, after his contract expired.

Despite being owned by Chelsea since 2003, Crespo has spent the last four years in Italy with loan spells at Milan and Inter.

Ironically, Crespo’s last involvement at Stamford Bridge came under Jose Mourinho in 2005-06 but he was frozen out by the Portuguese Coach.

“We thank Hernan for his efforts in a Chelsea shirt and wish him well in the future,” a statement on the Blues’ website reads.

Crespo scored 20 goals in 49 games for Chelsea and is the first player in history to score in the Champions League for five different sides.

The 32-year-old is now a free agent and will consider his club future with Roma reportedly interested in securing his services.

Mourinho has been making noises since he joined. He is very big on having a relatively small (c. 25) squad of quality players who can all be expected to make a contribution, rather than Inter's usual cast of thousands.

That said, Moratti isn't inclined to give players away, and it would not surprise me if they start the season with a larger squad than Jose thinks is ideal. Adriano will definitely be given a shot, and the major problem with off-loading Crespo is his wages.

I don't believe Quaresma has been signed yet, and maybe he will not be as the transfer period is almost over.

And the rich get richer....great signing

Quote:
It is reported Ricardo Quaresma will fly in to complete his £14.5m move to Inter later this evening.

The Porto winger has been publicly named by Jose Mourinho as his last major transfer target of the summer.

He hinted in yesterday’s Press conference that the deal – which includes Portuguese trequartista Pelè – was practically done.

“I don't want to tell any lies,” he said. “At the moment Quaresma is a Porto player and Pelè is ours.

“But I won't be selecting Pelè against Sampdoria because it could be that he is transferred today or tomorrow. However, there is no agreement at the moment.”

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, a hotel suite has already been booked for Quaresma’s arrival on Sunday.

Talks continued late into Friday night, as question marks remained over two sticking points. Firstly, Porto wanted the £14.5m spread out over 24 months rather than Inter’s proposed four years.

Secondly, Pelè is now being offered in a permanent move instead of the original co-ownership deal.

These are small details and should be filed down in the next few hours, so much so that Inter are organising Quaresma’s presentation to the Press.
