Yes, very happy about this. Crespo is a decent option when Adriano goes into the toilet. I feel the club will now move Martins out on loan, and be totally surprised if he is sold outright.

Very, very good signing.
Milan should have done more to get him in my opinion.

Of course Moratti is doing his best to ensure that that it will be another 14 years before Inter are reigning champions of Italy.
Having signed Crespo yesterday, he is insisting that they are still actively pursuing both Toni and Zlatan and that Recoba remains a "key man" for the squad.
His only concession to reality so far is that either Cruz or Martins (not both) will go if both Toni and Zlatan arrive.

Toni is looking more likely at the moment although I'm hoping Zlatan leaves as soon as possible.

Not at all. By signing Crespo, Inter have basically given up on Zlatan and even Toni. The club is moving on, and not ready to shell out big on either.
The only people that have been saying that both would arrive is the media. No one else. Moratti has been having fun with them like usual.
Luca Toni is the ideal player we should have but I think at the moment they are ready to stand pat, but if he does arrive, look for Martins to move out.

There seems to be quite a bit of confusion, as most stories about the deal here are referring to it as a "prestito" (loan). It occurs to me that insurance coverage may be different in the two cases, though I don't know for sure.
In other news, della Valle just announced that Toni will be staying at Fiorentina, which makes it even more likely than before the Zlatan will be joining Inter.

Wrong. Italian media reports that I have read say Zlatan is going to Milan. Time will tell.

Attila Filkor joins Inter
INTER SIGN ATTILA FILKOR FOR PRIMAVERA
Friday, 25 August 2006 17:32:03
[FOTO Friday, 25 August 2006 17:32:03] MILAN - Hungarian Under-19 national team captain Attila Filkor joins Inter on a permanent deal from Maltese club Peita Hotspurs. The midfielder, born in Budapest on 12 July 1988, has signed a four-year contract to 30 June 2010 and will play for Vincenzo Esposito's Primavera team this season.
Two academy players join new clubs on loan deals. Midfielder Matteo Marinoni, born in 1988, moves to local side Pro Sesto where he will play for the Primavera team together with many of his former Juniores Berretti team-mates at Inter, as part of an academy project between the two clubs. Ghanaian striker Basty Kyeremateng, born in 1987, joins Nazionale Dilettanti category team Alessandria on loan.

Is this a bad thing Bentex? If we sought him out, he must be half decent.
