I don't think he'll be back in Roma, and I'm skeptical that he will join INTER, but we have to do get "lion" out back to run our defense. Its imperative that we do that.

If we get him, he will be our cure for all the defence problems

Come on, do you guys think he will really come?? He did stated during the end of last season that he won't play for another Italian club. How much do you guys think he would cost anyway.

He said that, before he played one game in Spain. I have no doubt in my mind, that INTER will add a "leader" out back. Who that will be, I have no idea.

How much Samuel will cost? Probably what Real paid Roma, I imagine.

I thought with Cordoba, Favalli, Zanetti and Matrix..we had enough character and leadership outback, to defend well enough, to compliment our fantastic midfield and strikers, I was wrong, so was INTER management.

I have more respect for them now, that they have admitted that they overestimated the defense.

The Scudetto is lost, and we should not do anything rash, but if we have a chance at landing Samuel, we should go for it.

I think Samuel would have a calming influence on our defense, but I don't think Real will get rid of him in January.

We should look in Serie A for one.

Default Emre has said he wants out ...

Turkish star Emre Belozoglu has set his sights on a move to England, his agent has confirmed to skysports.com.

Emre's agent Ahmet Bulut has revealed that despite interest from other Italian clubs such as Milan, the Internazionale midfielder wants to try his luck in The Premiership.

The news will be a major boon for Manchester United, who are understood to be leading the chase for the talented playmaker - but Arsenal - who have bid for Emre in the past - could yet rekindle their interest.

The 24-year-old has done well in Italy since his move from Galatasaray in 2001, but he is now considering his future.

"He has a firm idea in his mind and that is to play in England," Bulut told skysports.com.

"He wants to move as soon as possible, he is 24 now and whenever it is possible, he will go.

"If we have offers to consider, then it will be England where he goes, probably in the summer, but he wants to go as soon as he can."

Bulut admitted he was aware of United's interest - but denied that he had already held talks with the Old Trafford outfit.

"I have heard of United's interest recently through the press and television reports, but I have not talked with anyone from Manchester," he continued.

"Emre would dearly love to play for a club like Manchester United and he would jump at the chance to play for them."

Bulut added that Arsenal could never be ruled out of the running.

"Arsenal have always liked Emre," he said.

"They were again very keen when [Patrick] Vieira was going to leave - but obviously he did not go.

"We will see what happens, but Arsene Wenger knows all about him.

"Milan are also interested - but I cannot see Inter letting him go there and Emre himself wants to move to England."

Don't count on this. He still figures into our plans, and this is a ploy by the agent to get more playing time for his player..IMHO.

Emre has played well, when he has played.

He's still very young, and has played well this year. I think it would be a mistake to ship him out, just yet.

Davids and Veron aren't young, and they won't play many more years.

You are too harsh, he is still very young, and he is a saint compared to other players in the league.

We would regret it, if he left.IMHO>

Default Spanish derby for Davids

Quote:
Spanish derby for Davids
Real Madrid and Barcelona are being linked with a summer swoop for Inter flop Edgar Davids.

The Dutchman has failed to break into Roberto Mancini’s first team plans this term and an exit is on the cards.

Davids was left out of the squad for last week’s Champions’ League clash at Porto and subsequently watched last night’s Milan derby from the stands too.

The 31-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in the summer on a free transfer from Juventus, following a six-month loan spell at Barcelona.

The Nou Camp outfit are allegedly interested in bringing him back to La Liga, but they could face competition from Real Madrid.

Real technical director Arrigo Sacchi is understood to be a big fan of the player and has recommended making a bid.

However, there is also a real possibility that Davids could end up in the Premiership for the 2005-06 campaign.

Manchester United have been associated with the former Ajax ace in the past and they could renew their interest.

If it's Spain, I'd go for Barca. If it's the Prem he wants part of, I can see him fitting in at Arsenal who are also reportedly interested..
