Not buying into this chap, way too expensive at this price. Inter would be better off, buying some young players back there.

Default Mancini saga continues

Quote:
The tug of war between Lazio and Inter over the services of boss Roberto Mancini is no closer to being resolved.

Inter have said that they intend to appoint Mancio as Alberto Zaccheroni’s replacement for next season.

However, Lazio insist that they have no intention of releasing the Coach who is tied to them until 2008.

Reports had suggested that the two clubs were in talks over a compensation deal but the capital outfit have denied such claims.

"There are no negotiations taking place with Inter," stated Lazio President Ugo Longo on Monday.

"We’re in no rush to resolve this problem because as far as we are concerned we haven’t got one.

"A contract is in place which needs to be respected by both parties, by us and by Mancini. We’ll just see what happens."

Although Lazio are playing tough, Mancini is widely expected to be working at the San Siro next term.

Nothing is likely to be resolved this week but Inter are set to reach an agreement with the Biancocelsti for Mancio in the next 14 days.

What a freaking mess, probably have to send some players and cash to get him secured.::roll::

Lazio have no choice in this matter. Money and few players will be going to Lazio, from Inter. Mancini should have more sense than to sign with another team, while still under contract.

Default Cambiasso leaves Real Madrid for Inter

Argentinean midfielder Esteban Cambiasso signed a four-year deal Friday with Inter Milan.

Cambiasso make the move from Spanish side Real Madrid, where he had spent the previous eight years. He was part of numerous trophy-winning teams during his time at Real, but his contract recently expired, making him available as a free transfer to Inter.

Still just 23 years of age, Cambiasso, who possesses an Italian passport, has plenty of promising years of top-notch football left in front of him.

"I'm pleased and excited," he explained of the move. "A professional dream come true."

Cambiasso will officially be introduced by Inter at a press conference on Saturday afternoon.

They've already have Veron,C.Zanetti,Karagounis etc. in central midfield,he is a great talent but I can't see no space in the team to accomodate him.

They got him cheap, and he has extreme upside potential, so why not. Time will tell, and remember we will incure some injuries, so you never know.

Real weren't using him properly either...

Default Wow....INTER signs Davids!

Holland midfielder Edgar Davids has signed with Italian giants Inter Milan.
Davids, who spent half of last season on loan at Barcelona, was a free agent after being released by Juventus.

The 31-year-old turned down a contract offer from Barcelona and also attracted interest from Premiership clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

The former AC Milan and Ajax player has 65 caps for Holland and featured in all the side's matches in their run to the Euro 2004 semi-finals.

It was expected, I had very little doubt. Our midfield is complete now, may the games begin.

Possible lineup:

-------------Toldo
--JZ----Canna-----Materazzi--Favalli
---------------Davids---------------
-----Stankovic-----------Emre-------
----------------Veron---------------
--------Adriano-------Vieri/Martins/Recoba----

No Cordoba, and JZ moves back to command.

Default Mihajlovic pens Inter deal

Quote:
Sinisa Mihajlovic is the latest Lazio player to sign for Internazionale by joining the Italian giants on Friday.

The 35-year-old has moved to the outfit at the request of new boss Roberto Mancini after his capital contract expired.

The veteran stopper put pen to paper on a 12-month deal at the San Siro club this afternoon.

"Another champion has joined Inter," stated President Giacinto Facchetti. "Mihajlovic is a great player with quality and experience.

"I’m certain that he will give an important contribution to the team in the new campaign.

"We listened to the needs of boss Mancini and signed the player while keeping within our financial plans - which have characterised our transfer activity this summer."

The Serbian will join Dejan Stankovic, Giuseppe Favalli, Mancini and Juan Veron who all played for the Biancocelesti in the past.

Inter are Mihajlovic’s fourth Italian club after previous spells at Roma, Sampdoria and Lazio.

Known for awhile now, should be a good influence on our bench. Leadership wise that is.
