NEW YORK (TICKER) —Houston Dynamo defender Eddie Robinson was suspended an additional game and fined $500 for his actions against FC Dallas, the MLS announced Monday.
Robinson was involved in two physical altercations in last Wednesday’s 2-2 tie with FC Dallas, receiving a red card that came with an automatic one-game suspension and a $250 fine.
But after reviewing the incidents, the MLS Disciplinary Committee ruled that Robinson was not fully penalized for his confrontation with Dallas midfielder Andre Rocha in the 80th minute, leading to him being further penalized.
Robinson is expected to serve the additional suspension during Wednesday’s road game at D.C. United.
Robinson has started seven games this season, managing three shots on goal.
