The clash for the second place, the door for the quarterfinals. This is going to be a hard fought match, and hopefully interesting.
Both teams are equal on points, and equal on goal difference (-1).
If it ends as a draw, we might see penalties ( Penalty shootouts may feature in group stage)

I think this could be the match of the opening round, unless Italy and France have to decide a place also.
Turkey are fighters, they don't give up and they gave Portugal a run for its money.
Right now my money is on them.

If they play Arda Turan, they will put up a fight. The problem with this team is that their coach looks like a mad man.

Looking forward to this one. Has the makings of a good match. Although because so much is at stake both team might be a bit wary at the start.
If I had to choose I would say the Czechs. But Turkey are no fools. They have experienced players so picking a winner between these two sides is very difficult.

Turkey barely beat the Swiss, I think it will be close since both teams will give everythin they have and maybe more.

The weather that night helped the Swiss more than it did the Turks.
I tip the Turks to win this one by a goal, probably 2-1, it should be a good game though, Volkan was fantastic v Switzerland and Cech is a top top keeper so I expect a lot of frustration on the strikers' parts.

That is true, the rain did had most of the effect in that game. but still the Swiss did waste a good quantity of chances.

I think the Czechs will sneak this, maybe on penalties. I dont know why they persist with Koller as a lone striker through, he needs bodies around him and he hasnt been getting them in this tournament.

If Bruckner wants to get anythin out of this match he will need to relay on Baros and Koller partnership and maybe sneak in Sverkos is the 2nd half, playing Sionko on the flank and Metjovski in the middle.I think he should leave out Galasek just for this 1.

LINE-UPS Turkey v Czech Republic
Turkey: Demirel; Altintop, Gungor, Cetin, Balta; Tuncay, Topal, Aurelio, Turan; Senturk, Nihat.
Czech Republic: Cech; Grygera, Ujfalusi, Rozehnal, Jankulovski; Sionko, Polak, Matejovsky, Galasek, Plasil; Koller.
Indeed it's strange, all the papers predicted a 4-4-2 for the Czechs but apparently not, maybe in the second half but Koller can't last a whole game... can he?

No he surely can't. I bet he scores now!
Great atmosphere in the stadium, the Turkish fans look like they fancy their chances. That Serkan is a giant, Baros would have loved a run at him.
