yeah, i think most peopel who followed the match would conclude it was sketchy and the swiss were favored
good thing it was essentially a meaningless match and doesnt matter much in the end.
at least the switz can enjoy themselves for once in the tournament.

i dont judge him by one game, but he was disapointing theres no excuse if it was ronaldo out there playing garbage like that everyone would be bashing the guy easily.
however i wont hold it against quaresma or nani for playing sub par
its easier when u are playing alongside deco and ronaldo and moutinho and all the starters, the midfield lacked creativity and restricted the support to our wingers.

Quaresma didn't that bad. I must agree He needs to work on his left-foot, he's still the best crosser.
Like I said, Playing with three DM's cost us, no creativity whatsoever and every time Q-Boy crossed the ball, there was no one in the middle to convert it.
How many chances did we have to score? Nani's miss was crucial, if that went in, it would've changed the outcome of the game.
Btw, I hate Postiga! The guy had three clear cut chances, I know the 1st goal should've counted but the other two, not consistent enough to score. IMO, he was better then Gomes but you gotta convert those goals.

well i disagree quaresma was bad plain and simple but its not all his fault the midfield lacked creative spark it was only down to nani and quaresma to make attacks happen
nani's goal would have been huge. pepe also had a chance, portugal had their chances but missed the clinical edge.

Quaresma had one incrediable cross that Posita should have buried in the back of net. Quaresma played well with the ball and only screwed up once and at times seem to push his team forward..The problem was not Quaresma, Nani, or Positga because these where the three best players on the pitch. Positga did a good job and had a sure goal disallowed by a poor referee decision. My opinion is that Postiga should get the start over Gomes against Germany.

The final result:
Portugal 3- Swiss 2
Postiga is inconsistent. He has so much open looks, but couldn't bury them.
Nani's missed opportunity, and Moutinho's late mishap.

Yawn. Wasted 2 hours watching this.
I'm not bothered about the loss, pretty boring match, we had already qualified in first place and played our second team. Whereas Switzerland were playing for their pride and had help from a "Swiss" ref. (I'll get to that in a while)
I didn't think Switzerland deserved the win, as someone said. By half-time, we should have been 2-0 up. Clear penalty not called and wrongly disallowed goal for offside. On top of that, we had two shots hit the woodwork and several other good chances. Switzerland had 2 good long range shots, the goal, a header and a non-existent penalty.
On to the ref now. He was pathetic throughout the entire match, every little touch he called for a foul and the game was always being interrupted, one of the reasons why it was a boring match. He also didn't waste a single chance to book one of our players.
Astonishing how he missed a clear penalty on Nani but called one for Switzerland after Barnetta's clear dive. It was a "Swiss ref" on the pitch and not an Austrian.
The match was fixed so that Switzerland didn't lose in their goodbye match. That was crystal clear to everyone that watched this match from start to finish.
Regarding Portugal, I think Scolari did well by not playing our starters and he should have played Ribeiro and Nuno instead of Ferreira and Ricardo. I can understand the logic behind Ricardo starting in this one, but I can't understand why Ribeiro was on the bench.
From our team, Pepe and Bruno Alves were our best players. Followed by Nani Meireles and Postiga. Meira was also not bad at DM (that penalty was a joke).
Pepe has been fantastic since the start of the tournament, best CB in the Euro. Hands down. Bruno Alves was a beast in defence, no Swiss striker was able to get past him during the entire 90mins and he also won every single header.
Nani was good but poor decision making. Postiga had lots of chances but was unlucky. Overall I thought he did fairly good though.
Meireles ran a lot and tried to give width to the team, but then he had the stick in midfield, called Veloso, doing nothing but sticking his arse out and touching his hair.
Our most disappointing players were Miguel and Quaresma.
Miguel is just shit, he's ruining his career. We sorely missed Bosingwa, at least I thought we did. Quaresma had his chance, but sadly, he was crap. Just one good trivela in 90mins isn't enough. I don't think he'll get more minutes during the Euro.
Just want to add that Kobi Kuhn had nothing to do with this, he actually showed a lot of fair play when Magnin faked that he had been hit by Quaresma, by telling the ref that nothing happened. Class.
I wish him good luck and hope that his wife recovers well.

What do these people teach in Luton?
Ricardo Quaresma: forever a Porto legend. Thank you for all the memories.

agreed 100% I think that is a accurate review of the match.
