The enormous black cloud on the horizon which is threatening to unload itself on the Stade de Genève at any given moment has cheered up the Czech supporters no end. "We always win in the rain, especially against skilful teams like Portugal," said one fan sporting the 'Jan Koller' shaven-headed look. However, the humidity is certainly not dampening the spirits of the Portuguese fans as kick-off approaches. They are currently outnumbering the Czechs 10-1 in the city centre.

It is thought Luiz Felipe Scolari will stick with the same team that beat Turkey on Saturday when Portugal return to Geneva to take on the Czech Republic. Scolari did however hint in yesterday's press conference that he could introduce Fernando Meira of VFB Stuttgart as a defensive midfielder at some point. This would probably mean the replacement of either Deco or João Moutinho, both excellent against Turkey in the opening game.

Dunno why Ronaldo keeps trying to be the star of the team, he is clearly being tightly marked and cannot even move as good as he was with Man Utd, Deco and Moutinho are really playing well, but I think Scolari should remove Petit and Simao and put Quaresma and Meira or Veloso in.

Ricardo is a disaster. The goal was 50% his fault. And Petit.. dear God, he is having a shocker.
Simao has been pretty anonymous once again and Ronaldo is showing exactly why I don't like him. Pass the fucking ball ffs!

Ricardo Quaresma: forever a Porto legend. Thank you for all the memories.
