cant wait for this game
this is the third meeting between Portugal and Turkey in european cups.
first was 1996 euro, Portugal win in the group stage 1-0
2000 quarter final Portugal won 2-0
hopefully Portugal wins again but it wont be easy thats for sure turkey is a good squad.

Nuno Golos scored in 2000, let's hope he brings the same luck this time.

if Portugal goes up 2-0, they are happy with it and will defend. I would love to see us win by 3 or 4 goals but I dont see it happening.
anyways I think Portugal will edge it 1-0 on a goal from ricardo quaresma who will score off the bench. im pickin Q to score because in the CL he scores goals aganst turkish team besiktas and all the focus will be on ronaldo and they will forget about quaresma who will sneak throygh and find a goal.

Imma go out on a long shot and say 2-0.
One goal from Nuno Gomes & a Penalty from Simao in the 94th minute.

not really, Ronaldo did well in some important matches
Euro cup 2004 semi final
WC 2006 semi final
ronaldo is a better plaeyr now we should expect him to deliver.

Ronaldo did ok in the Euro but in the World Cup he "over-dived". He didn't do shit in France or Germany game...

but against france he was the best player on the pitch everyone knows that its common knowledge if you look at match reports.
anyways I know ppl dont think ronaldo has what it takes, but if he doesnt lead Portugal to a championship you got no faith a player like him comes around once every 30 years.
hes alot better then he was before, and before ppl were raving about him... he is offically elected to 2004 euro team of the tournament as well as 2006 team of the tournament so to say he didnt play well is false.
but now i am expecting a nice performance from him, he has to help our team and decide some games but all of portugal must play well to win if the team plays well im sure ronaldo will thrive and portugal will win games and have a fantastic tournament.

agreed his diving put a blemish on his performances as well as Portugal. the thing is Ronaldo is the type who wants to win at all costs... hopefully we dont see these antics this time around.
last few nt games he wasnt himself... lets hope he snaps out of it although I feel he is more restricted in the Portugal system... he seems to get fewer chances to score goals on Portugal he is expected to provide more.
