All this talk of fixing in the media is non-sense. Any team in Holland's position would play their b team (which still has some good players and should be able to manage a tie).
However, if they roll over and dont try, than u know what they're trying to achieve. That wont bold to well with UEFA and their "Fair play" campaign.

I really hope Italy go through. You couldnt blame the dutch for maybe having an eye on the next round.
I still think Holland will beat Romania. If Van Basten drops players then the guys that will come in will want to show him that they too can bring something to the squad.

There's no way we can complain if we end up going out and the same goes for the French. Neither side has really played anywhere near to their capabilities, or at least to the expectations of their fans.
Fair play to Romania, they're worked hard, played well, and now they're in with a great chance of progressing from what appeared to be the most difficult group. They've earnt the right to be in this position.

Do you think the other teams have been looking at each other too much and taken Romania too lightly?

No, not at all. Everyone knows Romania are a decent side, just look at how they qualified.
I think it's purely down to the fact that they've been up for each game and have worked tirelessly to put the opposition under pressure and not give them time on the ball. They seem focused, whereas we don't.

True. Romania are a good side.
This group was always going to be a talking point. By far the most difficult group.

Mark it down.
Romania will get a penalty kick in the 90th minute if the game is tied or they are down and attacking the Dutch.

I don't know why, but if Scotland was in France's or Italy's place, they would of not of lost to Holland. MIght of been a draw, but not a lost.
We'll see how Romania does, as I find your nation and them to be the same.

For once, having Donadoni as coach might be helpful. He has apparently contacted Mr Van Basten and got reassurances that Holland will go for the win. Now normally I just brush this shit off, however I do know both lads golf and hang out with their families, so I'm sure they will try. Dressing key players is another matter entirley though.

Fixing is evident.... You can tell throughout a game how it's being played, the pace of the match, and the suspect calls. It can happen to any team in this tourney.
Portugal played their 'B' team and lost.... refs were a big part in deciding the game.
It's gotta be in the back of your mind every time a refs makes a dumb ball.

Possibly. And trust me, its in the back of mind. However as I said earlier, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Lets just hope that their is more fight in the Dutch, than the Portugese.

Why is that?
You don't have much faith in Spain? I agree with Holland. if they were to face the Italians. Redemption will be out their feet.... good luck with that.

spain is the most overrated team in the tournament right now
they have 2 great strikers villa and torres other than that im not impressed.
theyll do the typical spanish tradition of exiting in the quarter final
seriously whats the big fuss about them? their defense looks shit, they play 4-4-2 and all the big teams play with a more compact midfield will match them for possession and cut off the supply to villa and torres who do all the offense for them.

Spain always looks good in the opening rounds, if they make the semi final's they will earn my respect. until now they will stay chokers
1984, last time spain went passed the quarter finals in any competition.
i dont think having two awesome strikers with mullet haircuts is going to change it.
