Italy have to now forget about the defeat against Holland and concentrate on winning this crucial match. Getting all three points is an absolute must and winning by a few goals should always be a concern as well as Italy are -3 in goal difference. Romania played really well against France and shut them down...Italy will have it's hands full as Romania will want a win to increase their chances of going through.

Guess they called this the group of death for a reason, eh? Bc Italy has just been shot and on life support

What do you guys predict the lineup will be? What changes will the Dumb, i mean, the "Don" make. Start Grosso? Replace Barzaghi? Add De Rossi and drop Ambro?

I would go with something like this

--------------------Buffon------------------

Zambro---Materazzi--Chiellini----Grosso

----------De Rossi--Pirlo--Gattuso----------

Del Piero---------Toni---------------Di Natale

I was very unimpressed with Barzagli, Panucci & Camoranesi, and I dont think Ambrosini is necessary, both De Rossi & Aquilani are better options from what i have seen. I would be tempted to start Cassano, he produced a moment of class when he came on and he looks hungry to do well. Di Natale probably deserves another chance but Cassano is knocking on the door surely.

Matrix picked up a knock in training to it remains to be seen whether he'll feature....

I agree with the above lineup except I'd start either Camo or Cassano over Del Piero (I've never liked him on the right).

ADP is a good impact player in the second half...he changed the dynamic the second he stepped on the field. He should play as a sub...If DDR plays, then Pirlo can move forward and not play as deep. DDR can clean things up and be an outlet for the defense when they are in trouble. Same as he does with Roma...stays just in front of the CB's and bails them out.

ADP is great for insperation and really add's alot hen he comes on the field.

If i was an Italian fan i would be very nervous about Romania, a dark horse with a very strong defence that can hold the a powerful France to a 0-0 draw.

This defence may be a nightmare for Italy that are in major need of goals!

Eugenio Fascetti believes Cassano should start...but, he's biased on Cassano. but, at this point...Italy should consider all options.

Even though Del Piero is a fair shout to start, I think bringing him off the bench in the 2nd half is a better option. Pirlo, fuck off with your free kicks. Let Del Piero take them. He has always scored more in serie a.

Camo should not start. Ive been saying this all along. He never plays that advanced for Juve, and y Donadoni chooses to play him there is beyond me. His spot in Donadoni's lineup is where Gattuso plays.

I want to see Aquilani in for Ambrosini. De Rossi is a good call as well, but Aquilani offers more going forward.

Donadoni is a fucking idiot, so we will be lucky if we see 2 changes from the game vs Holland, even though there should be at least 4. The game vs Holland cemented all my criticim's against him. The same criticism's ppl have been screaming at him for 2 fucking years.

Buffon
Zambrotta Barzagli Chiellini Grosso
Gattuso Pirlo Aquilani
Cassano Di Natale
Toni

I would bench Barzagli. He really let us down yesterday with his out of control ways.Im convinced with Cannavaro calming down everyone in the backling and now Fabio gone Barzagli is going to revert to his crappy ways like in Palermo.

Gamberini is more agile and quicker.Id rather start him with his form then Barzagli.

Gattuso or De Rossi is my beef.Gattuso hasnt been playing well.Although he offers heart he also offers nothing going forward. If italy want to advance they need good tactical players who know how to attack and can be a threat.De Rossi adds that to the team.Furthermore it makes opposing team members watch out for him thus freeing up Pirlo.

Aquilani. If he doesnt start over Amrbosini im flying over to swissaustria myself and causing a ruckus.

Cassano to start ahead of Camo.Cassano really changed the flow of the game more so in the midfield to attack. Del Piero as a sub in the second half to replace Di Natale.

Also if Toni doesnt score put in Boriello. At least then Toni can be pissed off and start banging in those shots in the france game.

lets get it done.

minor change or maybe a big one on this one.

adp should be introed in 2nd half, he does a better job as an impact player.de rossi and aquilaani, either one would be good.but if don is brave enough he could field them both and maybe drop pirlo or camo.

di natale definitely deserves his chance but i say bench toni and go for cassano.let him run around and at least do some thing then wait like a flag pole as toni has done.

while at the back, grosso-zambrotta is a pair and must start as a pair.while in the center again if don has any balls he would go for chellini and gamberhini.i say better go all out on this game after what he has done to our 1st game wch wth right players we might as well have drawn instead loosing.

but we can even put nesta to paper now and be veryy confident in a player, but what im very afraid now is don.if he still has any balls+brains he would make the changes and get us that win if not just prey to god we can get in a goal and still be winners against a tough team like romania.

I dont think a 4-3-3 is possible here without a Perrotta on the squad as one of the wing forward who knows how to track back and defend and always hits those random runs in the box.In terms of Balance I think he's needed to be honest.Lippi had the formation and squad all figured out.

I don't think it's bias at all.

Cassano should start, end of story.

Gamberini is the ticket.
-------------------Buffon------------------

Zambro---Materazzi--Gamberini----Grosso

----------De Rossi--Pirlo--Gattuso----------

Cassano---------Toni---------------Di Natale

For some reason I expect Del Piero to start in a position he hates, and I expect Ambrosini to be dropped because Pirlo bitched about the lineup in the papers, so I figure he must of bitched to Donadoni.

Grosso will start because he was excellent when he played.

Gamberini should come in because he is fast and agile. He can work together with either Matrix or Chiellini who are slow.
