Vieira has been injured the majority of the season, and has been poor, yet get's picked over Flamini.

Boumsong over Mexes is hilarious, as is Henry/Malouda over Trez. Both had poor season's, whereas Trezeguet scored 20 league goals. Trez know's how to score against Italian's, and he isn't included. It doesn't make any sense.

No doubt.Gregory Coupet is a good goal keeper.I would personally take Frey though. Then again thats because Ive seen more of Frey.

I would have personally started Thuram as Rb and played Mexes in the middle with Gallas and Evra...but who am to say anything.Best of luck to the french.

Because Domenech is a pain in the ass

This man is just crazy.

Gomis over Trezeguet ? Boumsong over Mexes ? Ben Arfa out of the squad ? Flamini out ?

I can't get him ....

Domenech should bring us the Euro or just go home

Wll with players like Ribery, Diarra and Nasri in midfield, Benzema and Gomis in attack this team can do it till the Semis for sure. I didnt agree on letting Ben Arfa and Mexes out and still having Thuram and Anelka, but still a good squad, not quite easy to beat especially for Italy.

It was a bit disappointing.
The performance wasn't so bad, but it was obvious that Trezeguet is missing, we needed him badly. I hope that excluding Trezeguet from the squad won't make us troubles after the Euro starts .....

I liked the way Lassana Diarra played, he was very energetic !! The same for Nasri ..

I am suprised the manager had left out Mexes and instead choosing boumsong, and he left out flamini, clichy and sagna, I am not being baised, they deserved to be selected, more suprisingly, he didn't select trezeguet, instead he choose anelka?..I mean, Anelka had not been performing well in chelsea.

Flamini added to France squad after Vieira concerns

Quote:
Midfielder Mathieu Flamini has been called up to the French squad for the Euro 2008 finals following concerns over the fitness of captain Patrick Vieira.

"Flamini is arriving today at Clairefontaine (France's training camp) and is added to the 23-man squad," team spokesman Yann Le Guillard said on Monday.

Le Guillard added that no player had pulled out yet as France have until June 8, one day before their Group C opener against Romania, to make changes to their squad in case of an injury.

Vieira has not played in his side's last two warm-up games against Ecuador and Paraguay. He left a training session on Friday with a suspected left thigh injury.

France coach Raymond Domenech declined to comment on Vieira's situation.

Flamini, who is set to join AC Milan from Arsenal on July 1, had been included in a provisional 30-man squad but had been left out of the final 23-man squad last week.

Le Guillard added that the player would travel to Switzerland with the squad on Wednesday.

http://fourfourtwo.com/news/euro2008/10371/default.aspx

In all honesty based on their respective club forms over the last season this would probably suit France if Vieira doesn't make it, although Vieira's experience and leadership is certainly invaluable....
