I feel bad for goalies in that situation...he tried to clear the ball, but hit it on the wrong side and spun into his own net. That's almost 2 own goals for Italy.

I saw good things, and I saw bad things.
Its a friendly, and I'm not too bothered to be honest.
Lippi is back, and the fact they fought for the whole second half, shows me good things.

I'm worried about the defense tbh.
Both Bonera and Barzagli struggled.
I'm not sure what Gamberini's injury situation is, but, if healthy, I hope Lippi starts him for the qualifiers in a couple of weeks. With Cannavaro still out, Chiellini's injury hurts the Azzurri about as much as it hurts Juventus.

2 goals in the 1st half off 2 chances. A lack of concentration by Bonera/Barzagli, who are a big step down from Cannavaro and Chiellini. Hopefully Gamberini shines in the CL this season, increasing his status with Lippi. Since Nesta retired, Italy are thin at cb. The 2nd choice cb's are a big step down.
Otherwise I though Italy were ok. The midfield possession was fine, Italy just lacked that final punch in and around the box. Del Piero and Gila each missed a good scoring opportunity, and Di Natale only really started to play in the 2nd half.

The CBs will pick it up, no matter who they are. I'm just not convinced that the two that seem to be the defacto pair for today's game, are the guy you want back there.
Lets hope Gamberini can show us what he has and Chiellini comes back.
What about Canna's brother? I've given him a shot.

well chill guys, one word for the bad things we saw in the game "holidays".tahts all.not a single of those players have played a really competititve match so far, none of them have worked at the durrent lippi together so its a mix and match now we actually gained more then just the plain result. 
remember from here on lippi can asses whr he is making mistakes, whr players are making mistakes since we still have enough time before we hit the important stages
