Default Friendly: Greece - Italy (19-12-2008)

The Azzurri played a friendly today in Greece and drew 1-1. Toni equalised with a header minutes after Gekas put Greece ahead at the start of the second half.

Italy lined up like this:

De Sanctis; Bonera, Cannavaro, Chiellini, Grosso; Gattuso, De Rossi, Montolivo; Camoranesi, Toni, Rossi

The only player I didn't think had a good game at all was Montolivo.

Maggio earned his first cap coming in the second half. I figured Lippi might play him at RB, but he essentially took over the right side of the midfield. What started out as a 4-3-3 shifted into a 4-4-2 and a 4-2-3-1 at times in the second half.

Camoranesi and Grosso had really good games. De Rossi, Rossi, and Toni with the goal also played well.
