Disagree on DDR doing nothing.Sure his passing was less the stellar but players like Toni and Di Natale on the front end should be doing alot more.I look at a player like Perrotta who did nothing.De Rossi held his own on the rightish side of the pitch.Fabregas barely saw the ball.Pirlo needs to step it up.

Tactics was completely wrong for this one.

No one really played badly. The game was decided on a bad clearance by Canna, and even with that it took a perfect volley from Villa to beat Buffon.

I was kind of surprised to see the De Rossi, Pirlo, Perrotta midfield. If I'm not mistaken the last time that happened was the first game of the World Cup against Ghana. I would've liked to see Ambrosini, or even an out of form Gattuso instead of Perrotta.

I thought today cemented the fact that it should be Di Natale and Camo behind Toni. Di Natale's pace and Camo's skill are great complements to Toni and I thought they both played well, especially Camo.

Donadoni called up 21 players for this friendly. If you add a keeper, Chiellini on defense, and replace Iaquinta with Del Piero (or maybe leave Iaquinta and take out Borriello), those would be my guess at the 23 going to Euros.

I think Boriello is a must.He was doing great out there.Showed a bit of flare and great touches.Big body in the box.Marchena was having fits with him on the field. The team didnt click.Im not taking this match seriously and I know Italy will step it up when they have to but this doesnt bode well.

?

I'm not sure what you want him to do. All I know every time DDR is playing with him, they both don't play well. And if Pirlo isn't playing well, we are deep shit.

Disagree once more () before the world cup Germany. They both played well with DDR holding the midfield together and allowing Pirlo to push forward more and support the attack. Now it seems Pirlo and De Rossi seem to get in each other's way.Don needs to address that.

Its not the player that isnt doing well but its the tactics mate. You cant deny that fact.

Pirlo had enough time on the ball to produce his magic but he was constantly infront of the defence even when attacking.Thats DDR's spot.He should have been where Perrotta was during the game, sure not hustling and busting his ass up and down the field but still lingering between Camo and Di Natale yet infront of De Rossi and Perrotta.

it looked as if Don was playing :

-------DDR-----------Pirlo
-------------Perrotta----------------
Camo---------------------Di Natale

Interchange Pirlo and Perrotta (which should be gattuso....) and I think this formation will work wonders mate. But who am I to judge.

-------DDR--------Gattuso
--------------Pirlo
Camo---------------Di Natale
-------------Toni

Midfield and attack would work wonders IMO.

I gaurantee when we play our first competitive match, unless there is an injury situation, DDR will not be in the starting lineup.
