I've not actually seen Toni play with a proper partner hardly at all. If Cassano was picked he'd play deeper or wider, so again not a proper partner.

I don't think it matters.

Whether we play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 he'll get the support he needs and he'll score goals.

aye on that one.in the last wc is one of those games.maybe he will do better in his next big stage games.

If Don wants to take Cassano, he will. Surely he must of seen the Bari hitman on more than one occasion. I've always maintained that Cassano would play in the next world cup, not this Euro.

To me, Don will play it safe and just add a few players to the winning world cup team, and thus far, he has done just that.

He has sort of filled the Totti hole..sort of to the best of his abilities.

Scoring is not the problem for this team. I feel we are good for a goal a game.

Defensively and controlling the ball is more of an issue, just a slight one though.

Don has many options up front, and somebody is going to get disappointed.

We havent seen Toni and Cassano play together yet.THey have the potential to be better then a Di natale and Toni partnership.If anybody can fill the Totti void it has to be Cassano.Its been debated to death about his behaviour.Its time to grow some balls and take a risky move.If Italy seriously wants to contend for the Euro 2008 you need a fantasista.Cassano is your man.

Yes, but the partnership of Di Natale and Toni is not broken, so there is no point in trying to fix it.

But if your talking about bringing Cassano along, that is another story.

well france announced their squad.no trez.well at least one name less to worry and another 25 to be worried

when are we going to name the squad???....the league is over...wait there is still the coppa...well till then lets get back to the cassano??? adp???wch will prevail???

Excellent. All the players that Italia have to worry about, are not being included. I'm glad Holland and France are being run by imcompetant managers.

Things are looking good. Don might actually be able to win some coaching battles.

Cassano had a great game on Saturday (as did Del Piero actually), they're both staking a decent claim.

However, it's hard to leave out the leagues top scorer.

No way to drop Di Natale...Don said he would select players based on form. Di Natale doesn't have that much experience and hasn't played the greatest for italy, but he deserves this chance...he's earned it. As Del Piero. Cassano, as a player is fantastic, but i'm still in limbo over him. I would very happy to see him selected though.

I hear that tomorrow Don will select the roster...exciting day!!!

I don't know, if Cassano gets selected ahead of Del Piero I'll be furious. BUT I do believe it's Cassano's time to shine, the WC's coming up, lets give him some more tournament experience. And, lets give Ale one final chance to prove his worth for the Azzurri.
