So I'm not sure I want to force the issue. DDR is a strange player, in that he does everything well, but doesn't excell in on area.
Gattuso is your true DM.
Pirlo is the holding midfielder.
DDR should be in the middle, but more often than not, he seems to get into the way.
Midfield shouldn't be compliacted. Pirlo is everywhere in midfield, I'm not sure if you people noticed but the guy is incredible. He starts off the attack, and more often than not, makes the final play of the attack. That's incredible, and he is an incredible player.
I personlly would rather have a outside threat, someone that can run the wings if needed. Though I'm not sure if Rosina will be called up.
And lastly, I can almost gaurantee that Cassano has no chance at all of playing for this team at the Euro.
You guys have to understand that the team doesn't run this way. He hasn't played for them in a very long time, he isn't going to be inserted at the start of a major tournament. That would be stupid and assinine.
Its just too bad the egomaniac Totti has decided to call it quits like he did, but I have to admit...seeing Pirlo handle the offense is a thing of beauty and he is getting recognition all over the world because of it.

Dont forget theres going to be a retreat or camp before the Euro's.We'll find out whose going to start where by then.Whatever the case may be its still a star studded squad filled with great players.Hopefully the Azzuri can keep the momentum till the summer!
