His lose really. Amauri is not flashy enough, and he doesn't play in Brazil or on a larger enough club to be considered. Lets not kid ourselves people.
Brazilian football at the highest levels is a sort of a joke. These are the same people that bypassed players like Cesar, and continued to play players like Adriano and Dida??
I'm not making this lad into a star or the next one, but he should get a look, and if Don invites him to camp, I'm not at all bothered by it.
As long as he works. Having said this, I would like to see Miccoli get a look also.

Typing that though Jager. Who the fuck is Vagner Love in comparison?
Anyway I'm totally against this. Fair enough if he had Italian blood in him but he doesn't.

He's actually a very good player.
Probably too good for the Russia league.

As of now he must be, otherwise he wouldn't already be playing for the NT.

Not really the Brazil NT has alot of politics involved. Amauri is maybe not liked by certain people.

Hence the reason why I think they are in decline for the moment.

It seems that Brazil and Italy could clash over the right to field Amauri for their national side, as he gets closer to acquiring Italian citizenship.
“I can honestly admit that I have been a bit disappointed by the lack of a call-up for the Selecao,” the 27-year-old admitted. “I haven’t heard anything from Carlos Dunga.
“The bureaucracy involved with getting an Italian passport is moving forward and I hope that it will all be resolved soon.
“Am I thinking about Euro 2008? At the moment I’m not. My objective is to do well in the Palermo shirt and then we will see.”

Amauri closes on Azzurri Wednesday 27 February, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Palermo striker Amauri is on course to receive an Italian passport in time to contend for a place in Roberto Donadoni’s Euro 2008 squad.
The nine-goal Brazilian marksman has become one of Serie A’s hottest properties and is in line for a summer move to one of the peninsula’s giants, but he is yet to receive a Selecao shirt.
Rather than wait for Carlos Dunga’s selection, Amauri has indicated that he is ready to play for Italy and is set to gain citizenship after spending over five years in the country.
“He will get an Italian passport by April 30,” agent Mariano Grimaldi revealed on Radio Kiss Kiss. “Amauri will then be available for selection in the Azzurri side.”
Donadoni is looking for a dependable hitman to play understudy to Luca Toni in Austria and Switzerland and there is a chance he may have found his man.
However, debate is set to rage over whether Amauri should be eligible for Italy, given his lack of any Italian descent.
The same issue caused heated argument back in 2003 when Argentine winger Mauro Camoranesi was called into the Azzurri squad.

He isn't in competition with Del Piero and Cassano, if he goes it'll be as a back up to Luca Toni.

Toni = Striker
Del Piero/Cassano = Forward
In my opinion they aren't in competition, Donadoni will decide how many forwards and strikers he will take (at least two of each).
