Default Should Casiraghi keep his job?

After the U21's poor performance at the European Championships the Italian Football Federation have given Casiraghi a vote of confidence that he won't be sacked.

Are they right?

No he shouldn't, not at all. Italia has the best team at the championships, no doubt about it.

He screwed up royally the lineup many times, and it was only the talent and desire of the Azzurri to salvage something out of nothing.

I would rather see the club go in another direction, especially with the Olympics in the picture now....not that I care about that.

Look at it for what it is, U21 is there to develop footballers for Serie A and the national side, and this look very rosey, however we have to take these, as I feel nobody, and I mean nobody can match our lineup.

Not playing Pelle right off the bat was a huge tactical error, considering Rossi was not playing well at all. And I won't comment on the striker you so fond off Joel.

Then you go to the defense that was not prepared for the England game. That in itself was the error.

One more thing about Pelle, though he might not be as talented as Rossi or Pazzini, but as you can see, it seems to be a "man" already.

A lot of our problems came from missing chances in front of goal and his insistance on playing Palladino didn't help that. All in all I don't think the team played that badly in any of the games, we just weren't clinical enough.

Pazzini had a poor tournament, but in his defence I don't think he got the right service.

Peronally I would have preferred us to play a 4-4-2 formation and that's my biggest problem with Casiraghi.

Nope. The important match was against Serbia. Italy played well in the tournament, but not well enough to secure a spot. Casiraghi should be sacked. With the talent Italy had on that field...no reason for such results.
