Really thought Turkey was going to pull this off...would of been the ultimate underdog coming through with the victory. Turkey can hold their heads high bc they achieved great success at this Euro. Shame they didn't win today...team has heart!!

jeez, no way Lahm can be motm, even if he did score the winner, he was rubbish first half, Kazim had him in his pocket, he made some big mistakes that lead to goals.
motm for me was Bastain scwhenstieger, who ran himself silly for 90 mins, and scoring a peach of a goal.
I just wanna add, the two german CB are awful, played rubbish, even Motson said so, he still watching the 66 final...

We are in the final!!!
What a great night for Bayern fans: first Schweini than Klose and on the end LAHM!
Lahm was not shining yesterday but he scored that goal....
Lehmann is a shitty baster, he is so stupid, both goals was his guilty, I will reader benched him and start Adler or Enke!
Now its a party time and party is open till final night and I hope we will win again and party will go on deep into the night of 29th Jun... so welcome to the party!

We better win the final, or I ain't gonna be able to sleep that night.
I've heard the commentator yesterday saying that Turkey have been 'copying' Germany with the never-say-die comebacks, and that was proved yesterday. The 'master' of this thing won.
I do admit, we haven't played good. First half was horrible, I felt the Turkish goal comming. Nothing was working man, it just wasn't the Germany we're used to see. Don't remember to have seen Germany play that bad for some time.
Our defence is very weak. Thanks God we are such great in offensive, because we would have exit Euro so early.
I felt the Turks were going to score. First off, that strike from Kazim which hit the bar, scared the shit outta me. Static defending there, you don't leave so much space.
Once we thought Lehmann is confident and much secure, he fucks up everything.
Poor reflexes he has (talking about the first goal). His ass is old man, he needs to retire, he has surely seen it himself. Let him win the trophy and retire.
It was the perfect time to equalise, just on their best moment. Counter-attack at its best, Podolski with that fine assist, and Schweini with that super touch.
But still, Turks had it under control, the whole first half.
Second half couldn't have started worse. Fuckin' coverage, kept cutting out, worldwide black out. It was like that for 6 minutes, and then it came back, only to cut out a few minutes later. I turned on the radio, and I heard "2-1 Germany; it's Miroslav Klose". Man, I was soo happy.
I was yelling "Fuck off Turkey!", I saw no chance for them to do anything anymore. I thought Germany have learn from others mistakes.
But Semih equalised. I was sooo down. Poor defending from Lahm, poor defending from Mertesacker, poor goalkeeping from Lehmann. You can't be so static man, ffs!
I was "fuck Lahm, and fuck this all!", was prepared for extra time and defeat. And all of a sudden, SUPER LAHM on offensive, that was a beautiful action, and he scored that great goal. Made up for his mistake.
Woooooooooooo, I was over the moon! FINALS!
Not always playing good brings the victory. This is football, and you all know that.

Respect to Turkey.Good grinding win Germany.Thats what a top team does.Even when playing poorly they find ways to win.
But I really regard turkey highly after this euro's...Seems like their back on the brink of being a world power.Lets hope they can sustain it.

He slipped when Lahm got past him, the play was in action (Lahm was recieveing the pass before scoring). What did he expect, the ball thrown out? Haha.

Germans celebrate peacefully
Berlin police reported no serious trouble immediately after Germany's thrilling 3-2 Euro 2008 semi-final win over Turkey.
A police spokeswoman said there had been 11 arrests for minor offences at the 'fan mile' in the centre of the city, where an estimated 500,000 people had gathered to watch the eagerly-anticipated game on three giant screens.
Minor scuffles broke out after Turkey took the lead in the first half of the match being played in Basel, Switzerland, but police quickly calmed the situation.
Jubilant Germans took to the streets on foot and in cars after the final whistle, waving black, red and gold flags and celebrating Germany's place in Sunday's final in Vienna against Spain or Russia, who play on Thursday.
Germany looked to have won the match in the 79th minute when Miroslav Klose's header gave them a 2-1 lead. Semih Senturk then levelled from close range before Turkish hopes were cruelly dashed with Philipp Lahm's 90th-minute winner.
"I really must say I often had to catch my breath," said Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was at the stadium in Basel. "Of course, I heartily congratulate our team."
"Madness! Our nerves!" tabloid newspaper Bild said on its website, adding that the German team had been outplayed by the Turks and would have to up their game if they were to have any chance on Sunday.
"There was no trace of the thrilling, rapid and direct play we saw against the Portuguese in the quarter-final," the paper wrote. "Was it arrogance or nervousness?"
In the heavily Turkish Kreuzberg district of Berlin, Germans and Turks partied past midnight, chanting the names of their nations, beating drums, whistling and singing.
About 2.7 million people of Turkish origin live in Germany, more than in any other country in western Europe, and the flags of both countries have been fluttering side-by-side from buildings and cars since the start of the three-week tournament.
There was some tension between Turks and Germany-supporting Kurds in Kreuzberg after the match, but riot police moved to separate the two groups and they quickly dispersed.
Television viewers of the match across Germany lost the picture for about five minutes midway through the second half, which broadcaster ZDF said was due to a power outage in Vienna.
The Austrian capital, which was hit by an electrical storm, is the hub of TV operations for Euro 2008.
The picture went blank briefly several more times but then ZDF solved the problem by tapping into a Swiss TV signal.
