His offensive qualities are impressive for a LB. However, his defending weakness cost him the starting spot.

I was dissapointed from Jansen at the Euro, to be honest. He has always shined for the National Team, I was expecting the same at the Euros. He started well actually, he was quite good in the first match against Poland. But, he screwed everything against Croatia, and lost his spot.

He will get his starting spot back though, I'm very sure of that.

Playing in the CL with Bayern will help him a lot, he will strenghthen in every aspect and get valuable experience. He has a bright future, undoubtely.

His attacking qualities aren't impressive at all, he can't cross to save his life. And I don't think he is that bad defensively, Lahm is worse. Jansen made one mistake, which was bad, I agree, but Lahm was completely outplayed against Turkey, in a way Jansen has never been.

With that being said, he needs to improve on both things, but I rate him, he is good enough to start for Germany.

Jansen's good, no doubt about it.

But it was his flank that was really vulnerable against Poland and against Croatia, where it really showed.

I don't really mind where Lahm is. RB or LB. But Jansen needs to step up and improve, 'cause he didn't leave a good impression in the Euro.
