Who was the best player in the German team at Euro 2008?
Who was the best player on the German team at Euro 2008?
Lahm? Podolski? Schweinsteiger? Ballack?...
Vote in the poll, and discuss.

I voted for Lukas Podolski.
Scored 3 goals, and made some very good assists.
A key player of Germany at this championship.

Tough decision because everyone had his good and bad games. I say Lahm because he was flawless until the turkey game but even in this game he did something important for us to score the final goal.

No player overly impressed me tbh, Podolski started well but then kind of faded away and disappeared a lot during the matches.
Lahm was to blame on Spain's goal, such poor defending isn't allowed on a final.
Frings was good in the matches he played I thought, bar the match vs Croatia. I'll vote for Ballack, basically because of his influence and his crucial goals. Without Ballack, I'm 100% sure that Germany wouldn't have reached the final.

I voted for Podolski.
He scored 3 goals and provided two assists to Schweinsteiger. The first goal vs Portugal & the equalizer vs Turkey.
Lahm would be 2nd in my eyes, even though he fucked up in the final. But whatever.

Hard Poll ....
Lahm : Had A Good Tournament ... Made Some Mistakes On Defense .. Was Great In Offense .. Scored A Nice Goal ... i give him 7/10
Podolski : Worked Hard ... Scores 3 Goles ... Asisst 2 Goals .. i'm giving him 7.5/10
Schweinsteiger : Opened The Tournament On Bench .. Back And Got A Red Card .. After Suspend .. Back With Great Form ... Against Portugal Was Superb .... i'll give him 7.5/10
Ballack : Not Ballack That We Know ... He Just Make A 2 Good Matches Against Austria And Portugal .. Was A Good Leader .. 6.5/10
Klose : Scored Twice .. Assist Twice .. Back Sometimes to help defense .... but not klose that we all know .. 6.5

^^ Why did you vote for Klose if you are admitting that he wasn't that good ?
My choice is Schweini surely, He showed alongside Podolski that they aren't Bayern's " Wayne Rooneys" they both are class, Schweini was the player of the tournament for me.

I voted for Schweinsteiger, apart from the red card against the Croats, he was the missing link that Germany had in the group stage where we had no creativity whatsoever then against Portugal he scores and sets up 2 against Turkey he scores again and was a constant threat. He was good against Spain too, atleast he tried unlike Hitzlsperger.

Accordind to German fans, Philipp Lahm was the best German player at the Euro 2008. 33.5% voted him.
Second came Bastian Schweinsteiger with 21.6%, and third came Lukas Podolski with 19.3%.
Top three - all FC Bayern players. Congratulations!
