Friendly: England 1 - 2 Germany
Apart from the Euro 2008 qualifiers, the classic match versus England will be one of the highlights for the German national team in 2007.
The DFB team have been invited by the FA to play England in the opening match at the new Wembley on August 22nd.
Confirmed
That was confirmed by German head coach Joachim Löw on Monday.
Germany had been the last country to play at Wembley before it was pulled down, winning 1-0 through Dietmar Hamann's goal on October 7th 2000.

Looking sooo forward to that match...its about time to make them shut up about that annoying 5-1 babbling Hey guys it was almost 6 years ago, time to move on, would ya
I think the both U-21 players Sami Khedira and Serdar Tasci (both 20 years and highly talented) could make their first appearence in the senior team then 8)

Germany to visit Wembley
Quote:
The Football Association has confirmed that England will play old enemies Germany in a friendly at Wembley on 22nd August.
Germany were the final team to play at the old Wembley before it was demolished, in a 1-0 World Cup qualifying win in 2000 that resulted in Kevin Keegan's resignation.
The last meeting of the two sides provided happier memories for England fans however, as Sven Goran Eriksson's side ran rampant in Munich and defeated their rivals 5-1 in 2001.
Eriksson's successor Steve McClaren will view the new Germany fixture as a crucial game in preparing for a run of five Euro 2008 qualifiers which will determine whether England make the finals in Austria and Switzerland.
After Wednesday's game in Estonia, England play four of their last five qualifiers at home and, in conjunction with the impending Brazil game, the friendly against Joachim Low's side will give the national squad the chance to further acclimatise to their new home.

haha after the 1-1 (love Diego for that and anyway) our chances are quite big to continue the tradition of beating them in wembley, we would be the last team in the old and the first in the new wembley then, lol I really would love to see that, muaharhar

This is going to be a good game.I see the game being a tie either 0-0 or 1-1.
When teams play friendlies they tend to not play their full potential.
