Hanover come from behind
Hannover 96 have recorded their first win of the 2007/08 season. The Reds came back from a goal down to secure a hard-fought victory at KSC.
Hannover 96 made up for the 1-0 defeat against Hamburger SV by beating promoted Karlsruher SC 2-1 away.
The hosts came back down to earth after their 2-0 win at DFB Cup winners 1. FC Nürnberg and missed out on the top position of the Bundesliga table.
KSC nervous
Hanover's Arnold Bruggink had the first real chance after five minutes, but Christian Timm blocked his close-range shot in front of 27,800 fans in the sold-out Wildpark.
Hanno Balitsch then missed a sitter for 96 on the half-hour mark when his lob over KSC keeper Markus Miller flew just over.
Maik Franz punished Hanover with 37 minutes gone, heading in Tamas Hajnal's free-kick from the right.
Goal and assist for Hanke
But 96 equalised ten minutes into the second half with a copycat set-piece. German international Mike Hanke scored his first goal for the Reds with a header from seven metres from Bruggink's free-kick.
Hanke then turned provider to set up Balitsch's winner 15 minutes from time, and 96 deservedly ran out 2-1 winners.

Another Super Saturday!
Two crunch meetings see Bayern travel to Bremen while Schalke entertain Dortmund. Hertha host the champions and Arminia hope for a perfect start.
FC Schalke 04 - Borussia Dortmund
Schalke hope to build on their 2-2 draw at VfB and take revenge for the defeat in May that cost them the Bundesliga title in the end.
"It's the derby. The fans of both teams talk about the 90 minutes for ages, which is why we're going all out to win the game", Schalke head coach Mirko Slomka underlines.
Dortmund have started the season poorly with a 3-1 home defeat against promoted Duisburg, and are already under pressure going into the Ruhr derby.
"We're underdogs. But this role does us good for now", BVB goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller declares.
Werder Bremen - Bayern München
Werder go into the match on the back of a 2-1 win over Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg.
"We know a lot more about Bayern since the PREMIERE League Cup (author's note: Bayern won 4-1). They are dangerous and we have to withstand that", Bremen defender Per Mertesacker says.
Bayern are flying following wins in the PREMIERE League Cup, DFB Cup and against Rostock (3-0) on the opening day, and Miroslav Klose makes the return to his former club.
"There are bound to be a few whistles, but it's not a problem. I'm no more nervous than I would be before any other match. I'll be looking to score in Bremen", Klose comments.
Hertha BSC - VfB Stuttgart
Hertha have to make up for the 1-0 defeat in Frankfurt last weekend in what will be new head coach's Lucien Favre's home debut.
"We have to put Frankfurt behind us and concentrate on Stuttgart. It is crucial that we take points from that game", Hertha goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny demands.
Stuttgart drew 2-2 with Schalke in the 2007/08 curtain-raiser. Head coach Armin Veh is sweating over the fitness of strikers Mario Gomez and Cacau.
"Mario is working hard on his programme and is raring to go but we are not about to take any risks. If the doctors give him the green light he can play." The same applies to Cacau who is suffering with groin problems.
Arminia Bielefeld - Eintracht Frankfurt
Arminia are looking to build on their 3-1 win in Wolfsburg last week.
Mathias Hain is set to play his 134th Bundesliga match for Bielefeld, more than any other Arminia goalkeeper so far.
Eintracht were victorious last week as well, overcoming Hertha 1-0, but head coach Friedhelm Funkel will have to make do without matchwinner Ioannis Amanatidis.
"Michael Thurk will play. He is a good player, and he now has the opportunity to show what he is capable of", Funkel announces.
Hansa Rostock - 1. FC Nürnberg
Hansa play their first home match on their return to the top flight after losing 3-0 away to Bayern on the opening matchday.
"We want to show who rules the roost. We must create more chances this time, after all we want to get three points and that includes one or two goals", Hansa striker Enrico Kern says.
DFB Cup winners FCN lost 2-0 against KSC last Sunday, now they face a second promoted team.
Nuremberg head coach Hans Meyer doesn't expect an easy task. "After all it's the first home match for Frank Pagelsdorf's team, and additionally the fans' promotion euphoria comes into play:"
MSV Duisburg - VfL Wolfsburg
MSV are flying after stunning Dortmund 3-1 in the opening round.
"We want to collect point after point and of course we want to keep something here. The win in Dortmund can't be burdening, on the contrary: it has made us even more confident", MSV head coach Rudi Bommer states.
Wolfsburg have lost their first match under new boss Felix Magath 3-1 against Bielefeld.
Midweek signing Josue could be in for his Bundesliga debut, but the Brazilian international is still jet-lagged after arriving on Thursday.

-- Arminia Bielefeld 2 - 2 Eintracht Frankfurt
An expected draw.
-- Duisburg 1 - 3 Wolfsburg
I thought Wolves would loose this one aswell.
Duisburg looked strong last week, while Wolves looked poor last week.
I can take this as a surprise.
-- Hansa Rostock 1 - 2 Nurnberg
An expected result. Hansa look poor.
-- Hertha BSC 3 - 1 Stuttgart
 What the f#$%?
Speachless.
-- Schalke 4 - 1 Borussia Dortmund
Thrashing. And totally expected.
-- Werder Bremen 0 - 4 Bayern Munich
Bremen cockroaches buried by the Mighty Bavarians.

First home match for HSV
Hamburger SV host Leverkusen, Cottbus take on Bochum. bundesliga.de offers the latest information on Sunday's Bundesliga matches.
Hamburger SV have started the season well, keeping a clean sheet in all three competitive matches so far (DFB Cup, Bundesliga, UEFA Cup).
New pitch in Hamburg
It will be interesting to see whether captain Rafael van der Vaart will feature after missing out on the UEFA Cup match at Honved Budapest with a back injury.
The HSH Nordbank Arena too will be in a race against time - the old turf has been damaged in a Rolling Stones concert on Wednesday, and the new one is expected to be ready just three hours prior to kick-off.
No Bayer goal so far
Opponents Leverkusen have failed to get on the scoresheet so far this season, losing 1-0 at St. Pauli in the DFB Cup and sharing the points with Cottbus on the opening day, and are already under a bit of pressure.
"It's quite possible that there will changes in tactics and line-up", head coach Michael Skibbe confirmed. Former HSV hero Sergej Barbarez is fit again, but is expected to start on the bench.
Sander calls for patience
Energie Cottbus started the season well with the goalless draw in Leverkusen, but head coach Petrik Sander calls for patience.
"Bochum are an unpleasant opponent. I hope that no one in the stands believes that the match will be a walkover."
Koller expects pressure
VfL head coach Marcel Koller expects Energie to take a more attacking approach than in Leverkusen.
"I reckon they rate us among the teams they want to beat by all means."
Line-ups as expected:
Hamburger SV - Bayer Leverkusen
Hamburg: Rost - Demel, Kompany, Mathijsen, Atouba - Jarolim, de Jong - Castelen, Trochowski, Olic - Zidan.
Leverkusen: Adler - Castro, Friedrich, Haggui (Sinkiewicz), Gresko - Rolfes, Ramelow (Vidal) - Kießling, Schneider, Barnetta - Gekas.
Referee: Fandel
Energie Cottbus - VfL Bochum
Cottbus: Piplica - Angelow, Kukielka, Mitreski, Cvitanovic - Skela, Rost - Rivic, Sörensen, Aloneftis - Kioyo.
Bochum: Lastuvka - Concha, Maltritz, Yahia, Meichelbeck - Bechmann, Zdebel, Dabrowski, Grote - Epalle, Sestak.
Referee: Fleischer
