He's another valuable BVB player and no doubt his absence will be noticed a lot. Another big blow for Dortmund.

[13.04.] "When I have the ball, the fans whistle. They think I´m a lame duck." Or, "We have no real team." Steven Pienaar is quoted as saying these and other viscous words against his club and teammates by the Dutch magazine "Sportsweek". The German newspaper "Bild" translated these statement into German today. The player and his agent vehemently deny these quotes.

Coach Thomas Doll says, "I had a good conversation with Steven." And then he complained toward the media: "It is not fair that a player, who is easily frustrated, is given a go." Pienaar had what was perhaps his best match for BVB in the 4-1 victory at Aachen and on Sunday should cause confusion in Werder´s defense.

"Why do they ask about things with no relevance?" asked angry Director of Sport Michael Zorc as he asked a logical question, "What is the motiviation behind such questioning when we are fighting for survival and we have an important match in two days?"

Default Pienaar's Agent Denies Manchester City Link

With Sven Goran Eriksson safely installed as Manchester City manager, he has set about rebuilding the Blues' squad. The City boss has reportedly targeted Borussia Dortmund's midfielder Steven Pienaar, but the player's agent has heard nothing from the English club.

Steven Pienaar's agent claims to have heard nothing regarding interest from Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

Eriksson, recently appointed by controversial Thai chairman Thaksin Shinawatra, is reportedly interested in the former Ajax star, but agent Rob Moore appears to know nothing of Sven's admiration for his client.

In a brief interview with Sky Sports, he said, "It is news to me. Obviously [Manchester City] are a big club with a top class coaching team and a lot of players who would like to go there now, but we are not aware [of an approach].

"After some very happy years at Ajax, [Pienaar] has gone to Dortmund and they play a different type of football," he continued.

However, Moore did not close the door entirely on a potential move, saying, "For anything to happen it would firstly have to be in the interests of the player, but it would also have to be acceptable to Dortmund."

Eriksson intends to act quickly to rebuild the midfield and attack of his beleaguered Manchester City side. The Citizens managed only league 29 goals all season, of which only 10 were scored at home - an all-time low for a Premiership club.

Pienaar is not a famed goalscorer himself, with just 15 league goals in 91 league showing for Ajax over five years, and none at all for BVB last season, but is a noted playmaker who sets up chances for others. With City lacking some invention last season, he could prove a useful member of Eriksson's pool of players.

Default Toffees in Pienaar talks

Quote:
Everton are in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund's Steven Pienaar, skysports.com understands.

The Toffees have opened talks with the German club about the transfer of the South African and hope to strike a deal in the coming days.

Everton ideally want to take Pienaar on loan with a view to a permanent switch and it seems Borussia may be willing to do a deal.

Pienaar's business manager Rob Moore would not comment on the reports, but it is believed a deal is close to being agreed.

The former Ajax man was linked with Manchester City earlier this summer and it is thought Sven Goran Eriksson still has an interest - but David Moyes is favourite to land the 25-year-old.

What type of player is he?
Heard he is a tricky right winger but has been played in central midfield mainly at Dortmund?
He is due to have his medical tomorrow and the deal could be completed tomorrow at the earliest.....So with this being Everton expect him signed mid way through next week.

He has good technique, very fast on and off the ball. Likes to play on the wing or behind the strikers.
But he is very inconsistent, often he spends weeks without putting in a good performance and all the sudden he scores an awsome goal or makes a great assist..

How much are you paying for him ?

Default Pienaar agrees Toffees switch

Quote:
Skysports.com understands that Steven Pienaar has agreed terms on his move to Everton.

The South African international arrived in England on Thursday and has took little time in finalising his contract.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that a loan deal has been agreed, and it is understood that there is an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Manchester City had also been linked, but Everton have moved quickly for the versatile midfielder and will wrap up the signing over the weekend before officially unveiling him on Monday.

Pienaar, who has also passed all medical checks at Everton's training HQ Bellefield, will become the Toffees' second signing of the summer following on from the signing of Phil Jagielka.

He is a good player, and was an important player of BVB last season.

His absence won't be noticed much though, BVB brought a lot midfield reinforcements.

Default Pienaar seeks Everton stay

Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar has voiced his determination to secure a permanent switch to Goodison Park.

The South African international arrived on Merseyside in July on a one-year loan deal from Borussia Dortmund.

Pienaar has made seven Premier League starts this season and scored his first goal for Everton in the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough.

The 25-year-old revealed that he is 100 per cent focused on proving his worth to Toffees boss David Moyes.

"I want to establish myself in the Premier League and to make my move permanent," Pienaar told the Daily Star.

"At the moment I'm just here on loan, but it's not in my mind that I'm here on loan.

"I'm here to play football and fight for my place and it's up to me to make it permanent by showing I deserve to be here."

Default Pienaar chasing Everton contract

Everton loan star Steven Pienaar is hoping to clinch a permanent move to Goodison Park at the end of the season.

The midfielder is spending the campaign on loan from Borussia Dortmund and says he has enjoyed playing in the Premier League.

The South Africa international has made 18 appearances for Everton in all competitions and is keen to remain part of David Moyes' long-term plans.

"That's what I want basically, to play for this club," Pienaar told Sky Sports News.

"The supporters are unbelievable, they are always behind the team.

"To play in the team that your colleagues are so friendly and so warm, I think every player wants to play for a club like that."

Pienaar had previously joined Dortmund from Ajax in 2006 and has impressed during his time with the Toffees.

Brilliant player for us this season. Great playing he opposite wing to Arteta, and for many games this season has outplayed him. Will only cost £2.5million, now that is one hell of a bargain, despite his size he rarely gets out muscled and is good tracking back. His technique is brilliant.

Default Dortmund Confirm Everton Pienaar Talks

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Everton are poised to make the loan move of South African Steven Pienaar permanent following talks between the two sides.

Pienaar has impressed during a loan spell at Goodison Park and now looks set to make his loan switch into a permanent one.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is still under contract at BVB but General manager believes both Everton and Pienaar are keen to cement their association.

"Steven Pienaar wants to stay at Everton" said Borussia chief Michael Zorc. "There are clear signals that the club will take up their option to buy him."

The 25 year old has already made 27 appearances for Everton despite missing several games while away at the African Cup of Nations in January.

It is believed Everton can sign the former Ajax man for a fee of around £2 million.

Default Pienaar Could Sign Permanent Everton Deal

South African international midfielder Steven Pienaar could sign a permanent deal with English Premiership side Everton FC before the end of this week...

The Liverpool Echo reports that the player could be a full-time Everton player by the end of the week.

Pienaar is currently on loan at Everton from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, and has impressed Toffees boss David Moyes so much that a permanent deal move is now in the offing.

There are reports, however, that other top clubs like Arsenal and Valencia are interested in the services of the talented and skilful midfielder.

But it is believed that Pienaar has settled in well at Goodinson Park and would prefer to remain with the Liverpool-based side.

The Echo further added that Everton have already agreed a fee with Borussia Dortmund, and that negotiations with the player's advisors are at a late and encouraging stage.

The South African has made 33 appearances for the Blues so far, scoring twice and contributing a wealth of assists.
