He will never get ahead of Kaka, Ronaldinho etc.
I do think he's a good player though, just not to the level of of the names above.

No off course not, Diego is in Daniel Carvalho and Elano's league.
If he maintains these good performances he can be called by Dunga, since he is calling lots of young players.

I'd have him in the squad.
Just shows you the depth of Brazil when he doesn't get a call up.

I think Diego has space in Brazil.
Imo he would be called for most of the European National teams.

21 years old, he has more than enough time to break into the brazil team imo.

With Dunga I believe he can be called, if it was Parreira, he would still have his old boys playing.

exactly, elano, daniel carvalho, vagner love, they all played in the last friendly v argentina and are youngsters playing in russia. diego definitely has a chance, i think hes younger than those 3 as well (definitely younger than elano).
imagine if his bremen side knocked ronaldinho's barcelona team out of the champions league

The one thing that does impress me about Diego is no matter how many times he gets kicked to the floor by other players, in the Bundesliga, he always wants the ball. Many similar players just disappear with this treatment.

He is a great technician and also works alot inside the pitch but he isn't the best of players to have in a club. I say that because, even though Diego doesn't have a star mentality, he often creates problems when he doesn't play. That was one of the reasond for Co Adriaanse to kick him out.

New Brazil coach Carlos Dunga has told Werder Bremen's midfield-sensation Diego that he has to be patient in order to win back his place in the Selecao.
The 12-times capped international had initially been hopeful that his excellent form for Bremen would earn him a comeback in Brazil's national team, but Dunga dismissed comments from Bremen that the former FC Porto playmaker deserves a call-up.
"It's not much of a help to create a lobby as what counts is the opinion of the coach and that's me," insisted Dunga, who believes that Diego has to built on his superb start in Germany before standing a realistic chance to join the likes of Kaka and Ronaldinho in Brazil's midfield.
"Many [Brazilian] players had their problems in Europe as Diego had in Porto. Now he has a coach and a team where he enjoys himself."
In the meantime Werder coach Thomas Schaaf encouraged his midfielder, who helped the club to an impressive 3-1 win over Bayern Munich by scoring a spectacular opening goal.
"Carlos Dunga is an expert and he knows that he should have Diego in his squad for the next game as a player like him could star in any national team," claimed the Bremen boss.
Meanwhile, Werder have been linked with Bulgarian Under-21 star Tsvetan Genkov from Lokomotiv Sofia.
According to Bulgarian press reports, scouts from the Weserstadion outfit had an eye on the in-form striker this season, who has also caused interest from the likes of Feyenoord, Roma and fallen Italian giants Juventus.
Werder has no shortage of strikers at the moment, but as rumours that German international Miroslav Klose might be tempted to leave the Green-and-Whites next summer have failed to stop, coach Thomas Schaaf might be keen to bring in fresh blood in order to increase competition among the likes of Ivan Klasnic, Aaron Hunt, Mohamed Zidane and Hugo Almeida.

Diego had another great game, as he scored on Bremen's 6-1 thrash of Mainz and delievered an assist.
He's now on a total of 6 goals and 8 assists out of 12 games.
