He said that he was hurt at Baros's actions. The racism allegations were the result of TV commentators who blew it out of proportion, which then caused the Rennes president to catch on and cry foul.
Mbia couldn't have known what Baros said to him - they don't even speak the same language!

Mbia doesn't speak English, Baros doesn't know French - even the French media has said that.
Mbia said he felt the gesture was racist, but he never said that Baros said something racist.
