FRANCE FOOTBALL
Marseille kept pace with Monaco in Le Championnat thanks to a comfortable win over Bastia.
The Corsicans made the trip to Stade Velodrome looking to cause an upset but they never recovered from a two-goal blast early in the first half.
Didier Drogba, fresh from his midweek hat-trick in the Champions League, skipped clear before rounding Nicolas Penneteau to score the opener.
Steve Marlet then headed a second on 19 minutes as Marseille assumed control.
Frederic Nee brought Bastia back into the game with a fine goal on 49 minutes, but this only acted as a spur to l'OM who restored their two-goal cushion when Rudolf Skacel converted following good play from Marlet on 65 minutes.

FRANCE FOOTBALL
Even though its not near the standard of the English and Spanish league at least French players can play in the clubs first teams. Thats the main reason obviously for them being the best national team.
so many great young players: Mexes,Boumsong,Cisse etc.
