The Future of the Viola
Where does Fiorentina place on the table this year without toni? What are your thoughts about this.
Was Toni the biggest reason for them finishing so high on the table despite their calciopoli point reductions?
Will they finish as good or higher then they did this year?

I don't think they will finish as high next season. But i believe they will get a Uefa Spot. Toni was a major factor, but so was Mutu. He was just as important and doesn't get the credit as Toni does. Next season with Mutu and Pazzini, Fiorentina should have a good strike force up front. It may not equal to the results as Toni/Mutu, but they will get their fair share of goals.

I disagree sort of, I feel Toni is replaceable in the sense that some of their younger players are developing, and I expect them to sign a striker.
They are still on the road back from oblivion. We have to give them the benefit of the doubt here.
Montolivo, Mutu, and a few others, plus a signing here or there will help this team grow.
They will be a thorn again I feel, to the top teams.

Well not only are they currently weaker than last season but the league is stronger (Juventus and Napoli are back, no points deduction for Milan etc).
Having said that Toni only got 16 goals last season, I expect Pazzini to get at least that many as a starter.
They need to keep Ujfalusi as well.

I don't think these outside factors make a difference. They are playing as a unit for one more year, they will sign players.
They will build on this. Yes the league is stronger, but I pick them to be top five. That is not out of reach.

I'd probably agree with that.
You'd expect Milan, Inter and Roma to make up the top three, Juve in fourth, then the likes of Lazio and Fiorentina battling for the UEFA Cup places.

I think Lazio, Fiorentina and Juve will have battle it out, with one of them possibly knocking out the top three.

It depends who we sign really.
Right now we don't stand a chance in my opinion but if we sign some of the players we're being linked with and Ranieri proves why the club appointed him then I'm confident we can finish at least fourth.

Its a feel out year for Juve, they are wanting to get that CL place. So who knows?
But I feel the rebuild will take two seasons. But any team that has Del Piero as its leader, who knows?
Personally I feel Juve will get CL if they keep Buffon, if they don't, then look out.

If Pazzini doesn't score at least 15 goals next season, Joel will have a lot of explaining to do!

If he starts 30+ games he'll score at least 15 goals, that's my prediction.

Ya i think Inter milan roma are the top 3 teams next season, i think lazio juve and Fiore battle forth spot.. Depending on whether or not Juve sign some big defenders this summer of course. If juve does that i say they take 4 then lazio takes 5 and viola take 6. Im wondering too if palermo is going to compete against these teams again next season the way they did early this season

Buffon is staying he renewes his contract and i think he will stay for the duration of that especially if juve are competetive..now they just have to worry about camo and trez who will prolly both stay as well, then pick up a couple defenders and they can easily reach CL in 09

Trez will stay, Camo will go.
It's not a huge loss.
