Very true.
To be honest, I think they would of been happy not to be relegated, but UEFA cup is very good.
That damn trophy has been in Spain long enough, I think the Voila will challenge.

Good for them. They played great all year long and overcame the points penalty. If they made CL, they would of been phenomenal. But Uefa is a major accomplishment though!

Well without the punishment they'd be just two points behind Roma right now, that's how well they've done this season.

Credit goes to Toni and Mutu who developed a great partnership early on. But can Fiorentina keep the success without Toni? They went from almost a relegation spot to CL..then taken away, to a Uefa spot this season.

Yes they will, since there seems to be a lineup to play for them. They have a good history, they have some money. They will find a replacement for Toni, not too mention the money they will get for him.

So Pazzini goes back to being a third choice striker behind Mutu and new striker?

Fiorentina have been playing a 4-3-3 formation this season with Mutu, Jorgensen and either Toni or Pazzini as the front three.
Pazzini will get enough playing time, don't worry.

Despite having a 15-point penalty, the Viola have fought back to secure a place in the UEFA Cup.
“Returning to Europe is crucial for us after everything that has happened,” continued Della Valle.
“It is wonderful for the city of Florence to experience these feelings again, but for me personally it will be a debut. For now we want to focus on Sunday’s game so we can finish clear in fifth place and in the ‘real’ table can still be second.”
If all the Calciopoli penalties were removed, Fiorentina would be on 70 points – just two behind runners-up Roma and one ahead of Milan.
“Can we aim to reach a Champions League Final soon? The ambition is always there. One hopes to live through emotions like that. Who knows, maybe the future will hold such surprises?”
The Stadio Franchi side had qualified for the tournament last year, but were excluded after the Calciopoli scandal.
