Palermo is accusing the Viola of having stolen Kuzmanovic, who reportedly had already visited Palermo for a look around when his father/agent suddenlly started talking "crazy money".

Prandelli wants Gilardino and Adriano?
From tribal, but with quotes:
Quote:
Prandelli would love Adriano, Gilardino at Fiorentina
tribalfooball.com - March 23, 2007
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has admitted he'd love to sign AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino and Inter's Adriano.
Both players have been linked with Fiorentina this week and responding to the speculation, Prandelli declared: "Who wouldn't want them in their team? They're champions.
"It would be fantastic to form a strike-partnership with those two - just like the Sampdoria of (Gianluca) Vialli and (Roberto) Mancini.
"But whatever happens, believe me when I say I can't imagine a Viola team without Luca Toni."

Interesting that he places Gila and Adriano in the same category (I personally find that their situations have a lot in common with each other), and interesting as well that he can't imagine the Viola without Toni-- but doesn't mention Mutu. Then again, this may not be the whole story or the entirety of what he said, so the lack of a Mutu mention in this article might not be significant.
Gila and Adriano is a partnership I can see working out well, too, and what sweet "revenge" it could be for both of them to succeed together and prove their critics in the media wrong...

Weren't they together at Parma?
Right now I could definitely see either player moving but not to Fiorentina.

Looks like they've been thinking of a Toni replacement.

Ya, they won't be going to Fiorentina. Gila will stay at Milan and Adriano will be in Madrid sitting on the bench getting fat like Ronaldo was lol

Yeah, they were together at Parma for one or two seasons. I think it's a much more interesting pairing now though, given that their current situations are relatively parallel-- both are having a disappointing season (though Adriano's disappointing streak has lasted longer), both are widely considered to "have potential" but not to be fulfilling it, both are favorite targets for media harping and scandal stories (whether true or exaggerated or not), both are falling out of favor with many of their respective clubs' fans, etc. And the fact that they used to play on the same team but now one's at Inter and one's at Milan adds even more interest. I don't know that we'll ever actually see them both together at Fiorentina, but the parallelism/irony/etc. stuff makes it an interesting idea, to me anyway.
But most likely I do think it will end up as Forza Roma said, with Gila at Milan (which is what I'm hoping for of course) and Adriano... well, rotting somewhere, sadly. A shame, as I find them both fully capable of a personal renaissance if given the right conditions.

Shame to Gilardino as well. He's had bad luck in Milan compared to other seasons past. I hope for the best with him, as he's crucial to our NT. But i feel he will be finding more and more time on the bench come next season...especially if Milan make a big name signing up front!

Well I hope Gila stays. Adriano will leave, but to where. The thing is will he go bak to Fiorentina? I wouldn't mind seeing him and Gila together but in Milan of course, though I would only want Adriano if he is fully compitted.
Oh, and Adrinao and Gila did play alongside each other in Gila's second season at Parma. with adriano making 9 appearances and scoring 8

Fiorentina have bought Lupoli, or at least that is what the word.
Since that happened, I've been trying to pay more attention to Derby and he did not impress as a sub in the one full game I've been able to see (against B'ham City).
I'm not sure what Prandelli has in mind for him. I guess he can play in the marauding role that Reginaldo has failed at this season, but I still think the Viola need a more robust striker to compliment Pazzini and Mutu. It was apparent again yesterday against Milan that they don't really know what to do without Toni.

Demichelis could be included on the deal for Luca Toni
Quote:

Fiorentina unveil Czech pair
Quote:
Fiorentina have officially announced two new signings from the Czech Republic – Ondrej Mazuch and Jan Hable.
The squad is focusing on youth for the 2007-08 campaign and after picking up former Arsenal and Derby County striker Arturo Lupoli on a free transfer, they have also acquired two Czech 18-year-olds.
Mazuch arrives from Brno, the side that finished in fifth place in the Czech league this year, having scored one goal in 24 games.
Hable is a central midfielder who played in the second division at Hradec, but is considered to be one of the country’s most promising young talents and was signed after Fiorentina beat off competition from Celtic and Inter.
The club has confirmed that both starlets have put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
