The real question now is the future of the other Fiorentina strikers.
My guess is that Pazzini will leave.

They're looking impressive at the moment though, if Palermo keep up their poor form they could be in with a chance.

thats the first for prandelli, he oversaw the signing of rossi, lupoli, dessena cigarini and paponi to parma
he is watching like a hawk and if parma go down, there will be alot of parma products on thier way to firenze......

Lupoli looking for a loan Monday 24 December, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arturo Lupoli is considering a January loan move after failing to make an impression with Serie A side Fiorentina.
The Under-21 international was signed on a Bosman in the summer after his contract at Arsenal expired.
But despite being regarded as one of Italy’s brightest prospects and finding himself at a club who openly give youth a chance, Lupoli has remained in the shadows.
With the prospect of spending the next six months on the bench, he could join a smaller Serie A team or move down a Division to net some first team football experience.
“We are in discussions with the club over what could happen in the near future,” admitted agent Claudio Pasqualin.
“Arturo is a wanted man and we are not short of offers. We’ll just have to see what the Viola technical staff want to do.”
Lupoli, who was linked with a move to Napoli earlier in the year, has found it tough to compete with Giampaolo Pazzini and Christian Vieri.

I guess the biggest factor with his lack of playing time has been the form of Vieri, it's unfortunate.

Sometimes these kids just need some time. Vieri is playing well though.....
Look at Jimenez, he got his chance a few times, and now is not disappointing.
You have to give some confidence to these young players.

One man who may be leaving Florence is out-of-favour marksman Arturo Lupoli, who has hardly featured since returning to the peninsula from Arsenal in the summer.
“Will Arturo Lupoli be sold? We have spoken to him and he wants to go somewhere to play,” Corvino admitted.
“He knows that Mutu is likely to keep him out and the hierarchy presents itself on the pitch, But Pablo Daniel Osvaldo has done well when Cesare Prandelli has used him.”

Lupoli’s Viola letdown Monday 21 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fiorentina have sent young striker Arturo Lupoli on loan to Treviso and the starlet admits he is frustrated by his lack of games in Florence.
Lupoli was a Parma youth product and signed for Fiorentina from Arsenal last summer on a free transfer after failing to break into the side at the Emirates Stadium.
The 20-year-old arrived at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with high hopes, but he hasn’t had a chance to prove himself as he is behind Adrian Mutu, Christian Vieri and Giampaolo Pazzini in the pecking order.
“Florence wasn’t a failure, but it was certainly a disappointment,” Lupoli admitted in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“When I arrived here I had very different expectations. I knew that I would have lots of competition, but I expected that I would have more chances.
“I am ambitious and I know my worth, so I asked to go somewhere else. After six months of being on stand-by I just want regular games and some faith in me.”
Treviso are languishing in Serie B and could be embroiled in a relegation dogfight. Lupoli could make his first appearance for the Trevigiani against Avellino this Saturday.

I feel sorry for him really, he just hasn't been getting the games.
