Well I heard he didn't say no straight up, he had to think a bit, so I don't know.

Pinto da Costa said LFV is his biggest enemy, if we signed Rodriguez and prevented him to go to Benfica, it would be a major blow on the confidence Benfica fans have on LFV.

This could just be another of my conspiracy theories, but if you think about it, it does make sense.
