Again I must say. I hope this deal goes through. Maybe for once Benfica can finish in first and Sporting in second

According to reports in Portugal, it is only a matter of time until Portuguese dribble-king Ricardo Quaresma joins Inter from his current club Porto. Portuguese starlet Pelé could be heading the other way.
Nerazzurri supporters have patiently waited for new arrivals since the end of the season. Of course, they're expecting the transfer of Portuguese speedster Ricardo Quaresma, with the player tipped to join the Scudetto holders throughout the summer. With the transfer window nearing its close, the Porto player looks likely to swap his blue and white stripes for the Inter black and blue.
The move is looking likely, as all three parties involved stand to benefit from the transfer. Inter have been in the market for a creative midfielder and Portuguese daily A Bola reports that the move is very close to a conclusion. The deal seems set to include a transfer fee of around €15million, plus the loan of 20-year-old Portuguese starlet Vítor Hugo Gomes Paços - Pelé (pictured right) - to the Portuguese champions.
Joining a team that can challenge for Champions League honours may be a big motivational factor for Quaresma and an advantage that the Italian outfit certain has over the Portuguese champions.
Other pull factors include Portuguese Nerazzurri boss Jose Mourinho and well as an impressive winning start to the season proper after Inter wrapped up the Italian Supercup at the weekend.

It's official, Quaresma to Inter. Confirmed on Porto's website.
18.6m € plus Pele who is supposedly worth 6m €. The fee could rise to 24.6m €, depending on how well Quaresma and Inter do this season.

I'm disappointed to see Quaresma leave, even though it was bound to happen, but I'm even more disappointed with the deal we got, which is absolute shit. We lose our best player for less than 20m and get a player we don't really need in return.
I'm a massive fan of Quaresma and wish him all the best in Italy, but I'm mad at the Porto board. Horrible deal

Exactly. This just sums up a horrible transfer season for Porto:
We lose Bosingwa and sign some unknown Romanian who has been awful;
We let Assunçao go and don't bring anyone who is a direct replacement;
We sell our best forward and sign shit like Hulk and Guarin.
Pinto da Costa is losing it.

Pinto felt the pressure to sell him. That was the only deal they were getting.... In those terms, You can't expect 40 mill euros for a player who might fail in italy, because of that that might be the reasoning.
I like Pele but I agree you guys don't need him.
Here's the Video of Quaresma arriving in italy:

It must feel great to be Quaresma right now, good for him, hope he does well.
I have to agree with Frank and Oliver Kahn though. When I heard about the deal I was expecting at least 30 million euros. But thats how it is, you can only accept what the other team offers you and Quaresma wanted to leave, not in a harsh way, anyways.
Hope he learns well under Figo and Mourinho, I'm sure he will be a fan favorite and a rivals most hated player

Even so Jec, don't you agree that 18m is too low? If it was between 25 and 30m I honestly wouldn't complain, but 18m is taking the piss.
Inter got themselves a monster deal, they get the best winger in the world for 18m € and lose just one midfielder who wasn't even a starter.

haha yeah. I agree with that. He can become the greatest ever, let's just hope that Inter fans give him time to settle in properly.
€€ aside, I just want to finish this thread off, with my Ricardo Quaresma appreciation post, which I'll post in a minute or 2...

Yeah, it's cheap! Inter should've paid 28 mill euros.... that's plausible.
Quaresma is way better than Mancini or Muntari. He just needs to establish himself with a right mindset and a good attitude.
Figo will help him a long the way. Plus, Moratti didn't want him. But Mourinho stressed that he need another creative winger, and if it weren't for him, this deal would've not happened.
