This has broken off, I don't think we'll sign him. If you can sell him for more, go on ahead. That is Inter's response to the whole thing. Branca our transfer director has basically said no more signings this season, as we have apparently concluded our signing of Sulley Muntari.
As for the future, I have this strange feeling that RQ will move eventually. If not this summer, by next summer. And Porto will not get what they want for him, as I see his numbers falling in terms of goals, assists and playing well.
Why? I think he was going to make three times with us, now he is stuck with Porto, and I feel this is going to impact him financially and negatively.
I hope this isn't the case, but these things can go either way. You can stick to your demands, and hope that someone will bite eventually or you can get the cash now. Always a gamble, it can go your way or not.
That is all hopiing that his peformance doesn't drop as I said above.
Ah well.....

Quaresma is worth more than 25 million but I understand Inter's concern because their is a great possibilty that he might flop in Italy. Quaresma is to high risk to cost 40 million euros ...

I keeping on hearing this 40 million..you are worth what people are wheeling to pay for you.
If there were other bids, you would of heard of it by now.
This is how this will play out. Next year he will sell close to what Inter are offering this year, and Porto will sell. Because there are really only two clubs other than Inter, who will pay that elusive price, and frankly I don't think either want to bite.

Quaresma will do better just staying in Portugal. He's beloved by all the fans but won't get the same reaction in other countries..

FIGO
"Tragam o Quaresma"
FERNANDO ROLA
"A sua chegada restituiu-me a motivação".
Preferia tê-lo do meu lado. Se estiver bem, é o melhor".^
FIGO IS ASKING FOR QUARESMA.......

I disagree. 25 million is about right for him. He has failed in the past to perform well in one of Europe's top leagues. He wasn't even a starter for Portgual in Euro...

Lampard is average ...well I'm not at all surprised seeing as this is coming from a Gerrard fan.
Lampard is a completely different player to Quaresma, so they cannot be compared.
Anyway it looks like neither are coming to Inter this season....at least Mancini provides another wing choice...I thought after all the statements by Jose that Quaresma would be 100% at Inter next season. However with Muntari nearly coming on his way to Italy it seems Inter won't have enough or won't spend anymore on other players.

Did you know Gerrard took almost twice as many shots in the EPL as Lampard last season? Did you also know that Gerrard only scored 1 more goal than Lampard despite starting 8 more games? And you know what? That was Gerrard's best season so far! Lampard has consistently been one of the Premiership's top performers for the past 4 seasons, even better than your hero Gerrard. So take your pick, either Lampard is an average player, or Gerrard is vastly overrated. There is no other option.

Pretty tired of hearing that over and over, people just have nothing else to say really..
Do you have any idea what happened at Barça? They had just sold Figo and signed Quaresma, who they were hoping would be an instant hit. That is a stupid way of thinking, how can a 19 year old who had just played a couple of seasons in Portugal, be an instant hit, in a foreign club, who were expecting someone to replace the best winger in the world at that moment??
Quaresma had a fall-out with Rijkaard, that is why he was sold. Someone got sent off in a match, so Rijkaard forced Quaresma to play at LB, instead of wasting his last sub, Quaresma said no and broke his foot in the same match. Since that day, he was never called-up again.
As for him not starting in the Euro.. how does that prove anything at all? Scolari always had something against Quaresma, in his time at Portuguese coach, Scolari played Quaresma in about 10-15 matches at most, and about 80% of those were as a sub. He preferred to call-up Luis fucking Boa Morte to the WC, instead of Quaresma!
And before you mention the match vs Swizterland, let me just say this:
You can't judge a player based on one match, that is absolutely moronic, which is something that I don't consider you to be. May I add that, the match vs Swiss was pointless, nothing was at stake, so obviously a player is nowhere near as motivated as if he was playing in a decisive match. See the match vs Italy, by far our most important match prior to the Euro, he started and was by far our best player.

Ricardo Quaresma: forever a Porto legend. Thank you for all the memories.
