Don't worry -- Once Quaresma leaves for Arsenal, Porto will be back in the bottom of the barrel.

Porto will find someone to replace him. It might take one or two years, but they will.

They said the same when Anderson left and we only became stronger.
They all said the same after Mourinho left, we had a poor year, but we got back to winning ways and are dominating the league.

We've been in first place for over 2 years now, that tells you something

It all depends on whether the Sporting board change their minds regarding the investments on the quality of the squad. You're likely to lose at least 2 of your top players, Veloso and Liedson being the most likely ones. Then you have to make good use of the money you'll get, otherwise you'll be pretty much fucked like Benfica without Simao.

I expect Porto will eventually have more titles than Benfica, its only a matter of time

what is it 31 vs 23?

in 20 years Im sure porto will have more then benfica. The thing is they just cant stop winning and Benfica is a mess and Sporting the same and I beleive we havent won back-to-back titles since the 1950s.

so far this season, Veloso only plays well in the big matches. in the typical Portuguese league fixture he doesnt play as hard. to win the league title we need to be consistent.. sporting showed already many times this season when they come out to play they are a good squad but they cant be bothered to produce in the regular run-of-the-mill league fixture and thats why we are in the pathetic position we are in now.

Hopefully they stay, but its hard to keep the quality players on the bencb but if the academy keeps producing I think we will see another championship come to Alvalade sooner or later although whenever we always seem to be taking 1 step forward and then 2 steps backwards all the time with the deals the club makes.

1- That's got to do with discipline and perhaps motivation as well. I've always thought Sporting players had motivational problems, that started on the Peseiro era, since then, you always seem to disregard the League completely, specially when you are in the European competitions.

2- I can't see Liedson staying tbh
