We don't need Rossi IMO, we already have enough strikers. Pique doesn't have a place in the squad, he wouldn't start ahead of neither Pepe nor B Alves, so no point on these loans

Neither of them suck, be sure of that.

Pique is playing regularly for a top Spanish team, and Rossi saved Parma from relegation and has been prolific for our reserves, both will have fantastic careers, just maybe not with United...

Pinto da Costa deixou ontem bem claro a Rui Neno, empresário de Bosingwa e Bruno Alves, que são ambos inegociáveis e autorizou-o a repetir as suas palavras: “Não quero que eles saiam”. Seria o ponto final no noticiado interesse do Tottenham no lateral-direito do FC Porto, se o dito cujo tivesse sido mais do que uma notícia publicada por um tablóide inglês e um contacto avulso entre um agente britânico e Neno com o propósito de conhecer as reais possibilidades de um negócio. Mas há mais.

Pelo meio, surge Bruno Alves que, ao contrário do colega, já foi esta época objecto de uma proposta concreta e até por valores consideráveis. De Inglaterra, um clube da Premier League acenou com sete milhões de euros que o FC Porto rechaçou de pronto, indiciando o que Pinto da Costa ontem sintetizou numa reunião com o empresário. “O presidente do FC Porto disse-me que nenhum dos dois é negociável. É vontade dele que nenhum saia do clube, entre outras razões, porque acabaram de chegar à Selecção e vem aí um campeonato da Europa. Depois logo se vê”, contou Rui Neno, dando conta de que Pinto da Costa lhe dera permissão para revelar a conversa.

Bosingwa e Bruno Alves estão os dois referenciados por vários clubes europeus e, mesmo sem ofertas, são com frequência motivo de indagações que normalmente não chegam a passar ao papel porque a resposta às perguntas exploratórias é uma peremptória indisponibilidade do FC Porto para responder ou então a menção de valores demasiado altos para o que as equipas estão dispostas a pagar. O negócio é complicado pelas razões óbvias: seria muito difícil substituir tanto um como o outro sem uma enorme perda de rendimento por menos dinheiro do que os clubes interessados pensam despender na compra. Fica um exemplo: os dois últimos laterais-direitos negociados pelo FC Porto foram Paulo Ferreira e Seitaridis, o primeiro por vinte milhões de euros e o segundo por dez. Bosingwa não sai a perder, bem pelo contrário, de nenhuma das comparações. Quanto a Bruno Alves, a perspectiva de transferência de Pepe – por enquanto também afastada por Pinto da Costa, mas nunca de pôr completamente de parte – aconselha cuidados com os restantes centrais, em especial Bruno, por ser titular e sobretudo por ter muito por onde se valorizar ainda.
