Ummm... With Hanover's current state of illness and injury it doesn't look pretty for them. Just recently they tried to get their DFB Pokal game postponed because they had like only 14 players available (which 2 of those bench players were keepers). So depending on how they recover, they still won't be able to be on-form.

Not that Bayern should take it easy, in fact I DEMAND that Bayern step up and make up for last Saturday's loss to werder by spanking Hanover so hard that they never see the light of day.

QUICK PREVIEW:

Both Hannover and Bayern conceded five goals last weekend so both trainers will want to see a positive reaction from their sides when they clash at the AWD Arena on Saturday.

Hannover lost 5-0 at the Bay-Arena to a rampant Bayer Leverkusen side last Friday and although they were hit with injuries, trainer Dieter Hecking will not be pleased with the fact that his side have gone from beating Gladbach 5-1 to losing 5-0 themselves.

His injury and illness ravaged side will be seriously depleted against Bayern this weekend so it could be a case of damage limitation.

A wounded Bayern Munich side will provide a tough game as they look to make amends for their own humiliation last week. The Bavarians hadn’t lost at home since April 2007, and to go down to such a heavy defeat will have really hurt Bayern’s ego so expect a reaction on Saturday.

Trainer Jürgen Klinsmann reverted to a back four for their German Cup win over Nürnberg and it remains to be seen which formation he sends out this weekend. Lell could come in for Oddo, Podolski is an option to replace Klose, while either Kroos or Sosa could come in for Schweinsteiger. Franck Ribéry could also feature for the first time in the league this season.

Hannover have been much more inconsistent than us.

I expect us to obtain a good result here. I'm pretty sure that if Hannover's coach is going to get sacked soon, considering this displays.

We have to get a good result for our confidence against Lyon. We need it.

Bayern Line-up according to kicker.de

Rensing - Oddo, Lucio, Demichelis, Lahm - Schweinsteiger, van Bommel, Zé Roberto, Ribery - Toni, Klose

Thats a great Line-up, I think Borowski will replace Bommel then we will be awsome!

^ unfortunately this lineup looks similar to the DFB cup game lineup -- and BILD is just guessing, which we all have to do at this point. B@v@r3zU might be right in that some other players could come in. Remember what JK said about rotation. Now on the other hand MvB is a certain returner as he is the current captain, but ZeRo might get a break, as he has been playing every game. I can definitely see Oddo and Boro as starters, but with the CL coming up, I wonder who gets rested and even who ends up coming out early. With Hanover weakened by injuries and illnesses, we may even see Van Buyten come in place for either Lucio or Micho.

JKs philosophy of the day will be rotation rotation rotation.

PREVIEW/

‘Time we set off on a run’
FCB target three points in Hanover

Quote:
Miroslav Klose described Bayern’s 2-0 DFB Cup success against Nürnberg on Wednesday as “the first step back” from last weekend’s sobering home defeat to Werder Bremen. The champions are now keen to continue their rehabilitation with a win away to Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga on Saturday. “The task is to keep our recovery going,“ the striker said.

For all Klose’s confidence, the double winners might have hoped for easier opposition at this precise moment in time. Although Hannover occupy a lowly 14th place after a poor start with just four points from five matches, the Lower Saxony outfit are widely expected to compete for a UEFA Cup place this term and are undefeated in nine games at home.

“Hannover are like a boxer on the ropes,” warned Andreas Ottl, “teams like that are always dangerous.“ Moreover, an injury crisis which saw half of coach Dieter Hecking’s squad out of action with flu earlier in the week has now eased, and the home side will be close to full strength against Jürgen Klinsmann’s men.

“It’ll be an extremely tough task,” Klinsmann agreed ahead of Bayern’s final pre-match workout on Friday. “Their results haven’t been that great, but Hannover 96 have a good team. They like to attack, and they’re fired up for Bayern,” continued the 44-year-old, whose team are also likely to be at full strength when they run out at the AWD Arena.

Mark van Bommel is set to return after a rest against Nürnberg, and Klinsmann is likely to rotate his squad in other positions too. Franck Ribéry made a comeback as a midweek substitute and is “burning to play,” the coach revealed, although he would not confirm whether the Frenchman might start: “We want to reintroduce him gradually.“

Foot on the gas

FCB had shown “a few promising signs“ in midweek, Tim Borowski observed, calling on his team-mates “show the same passion and desire but up our work rate” against Hannover. “We need to keep the tempo high for 90 minutes,” Borowski continued, “we mustn’t rest on one minor success.“

Klose was thinking along very much the same lines. “We can’t proclaim ourselves satisfied with one decent performance. We’ve remembered that football is all about endeavour, and that you don’t often achieve the maximum with the minimum of effort,” declared the Germany international, “We need to keep our foot on the gas, and wrap up the points as quickly as possible. It’s time we set off on a decent run.“

of course, every team is fired up against Bayern and every team gets their seasons turned around when playing Bayern, and so on and so forth. Well its high time Bayern just dispatch with this team, and show less than Zero mercy.
