Default Bundesliga coaches tip FC Bayern to win the title

Quote:
The Bundesliga coaches unanimously picked Bayern Munich to win a 22nd title this season but fans aren't as convinced.

All 18 coaches responded to an annual poll released Monday by German news agency DPA by saying Bayern's money and quality of players would allow it to defend its title in the Bundesliga's 46th season. The season kicks off Aug. 15.

"Whoever has the biggest budget and spends the most money is the favourite - that's the way it is in this business," said Armin Veh, who coached VfB Stuttgart to the title two years ago.

However, Kicker magazine said that in a poll of 116,000 fans, only 50.2 per cent thought Bayern would win the title, as opposed to 17.4 per cent for last season's runner-up, Werder Bremen, and 9.9 per cent for Schalke, which took third.

Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf picked Bayern, but didn't rule out his side.

"All the teams at the top last season have chances again for the title," said Schaaf, whose team has often challenged Bayern in five straight seasons of finishing in the top three.

For all who thinks that bayern will take the title in easy way .. they are wrong ... bayern have the CL this season and they will focus on it .
the german clubs also brought good players this season ..
i hoping that the title will be for bayern .. but i think that this season will be hard .

This is always the case, we're always the favourites to win, that's not really a surprise. But now we must prove it on the pitch, which is obviously the hardest part.

And I'll follow my pessimist thoughts and say we'll struggle to win the title this year and will scrape it by a point or 2.

Yep -- everyone will be after us. Plus, what this article really doesn't say is that ALL of the pressure is on Bayern. It actually is NOT a good position to be favorites on every game, and I think that is why every coach just wants to dump it all on Bayern -- in hopes that we cave in from the pressure. Good luck klinsmann, I hope his balls are as big and brass like Hitzfeld.

Bundesliga Trainers Tip Bayern

Quote:
A survey of all 18 Bundesliga trainers has unanimously shown that Bayern Munich are the favourites for this season’s German league title.

The traditional pre-season poll run by Kicker Sportmagazin asked each of the 18 Bundesliga trainers who they believed would win the 2008/08 league title and every single coach went for Jürgen Klinsmann’s Bayern Munich as the clear favourites.

Bayern ran away with the league last season and is looks likely that with arguably an even stronger squad, they will do again so this time around. Bayern trainer Jürgen Klinsmann himself tipped his own team to defend their league crown.

“Our expectation is that we will be champions. The title is expected here at Bayern.”

Bayern manager Uli Hoeneß reacted calmly to the pressure on the favourites tag. “I don’t believe that at all. It’s simple to name Bayern as favourites. It’s a lot easier to get on with your work out of the limelight” he explained.

“Naturally, that’s what we are. We’re certainly not worse than we were last season” he added

Here’s what the trainers had to say:

“Bayern are once again the gold standard by which we all have to measure ourselves. But all those teams that were up there last season have a chance for the title this season too.” Thomas Schaaf (Werder)

“Bayern are always favourites for the Bundesliga, but Schalke showed a very positive development last season and were up there. We want to repeat that again this season.” Fred Rutten (Schalke)

“Bayern Munich are favourites for the title every season.” Martin Jol (Hamburg)

“Bayern will be champions. We want to confirm our position from last year and once again qualify for Europe.” Felix Magath (Wolfsburg)

“The club with the biggest budget and which spends the most cash will always be favourites. That’s how business works.” Armin Veh (Stuttgart)

“Bayern are set up with the strongest squad in terms of both quality and quantity” Bruno Labbadia (Bayer Leverkusen)

“Last year I said Schalke, but this time around I’m tipping Bayern Munich. I hope though that their dominance isn’t so clear.” Dieter Hecking (Hannover)

“Bayern, because they have the best squad, an absolutely professional management, and the best conditions.” Friedhelm Funkel (Eintracht Frankfurt)

“Bayern, because they have the best squad. Schalke and Werder will try to make life difficult for them though.” Lucien Favre (Hertha Berlin)

“Bayern are the favourites. Schalke and Bremen could put pressure on them from behind.” Edmund Becker (Karlsruhe)

“The usual suspects will be competing for the championship: Bayern, Schalke and Werder Bremen and perhaps a surprise team too. But Bayern are the clear favourites as they have the best squad in terms of quality.” Marcel Koller (Bochum)

“The favourites are always Bayern. They have the best chances and the best squad. I am grateful to Jürgen Klinsmann that in the past few years he has brought training methods to the public’s attention that we trainers in the Bundesliga have been using for years.” Jürgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund)

“My tip is Bayern Munich. They have not sold any of their key players and have further strengthened their squad. There is no other team in the Bundesliga that has such a talented squad.” Bojan Prasnikar (Energie Cottbus)

“Bayern Munich have far and away the best squad. They even have six internationals sitting on their substitutes bench. Bremen, Hamburg, Wolfsburg, and Schalke will be close behind.” Michael Frontzeck (Arminia Bielefeld)

“I believe that Bayern Munich will win the league.” Ralf Rangnick (1899 Hoffenheim)

“The title will go to Bayern as they have the best personnel. Then come Schalke and Werder but I’m extremely intrigued by Wolfsburg, because they have invested a great deal in new signings.” Christoph Daum (Cologne)

“Bayern Munich!” Jos Luhukay (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

I'm a little surprised that every coach has tipped us for the title, to be honest.

It wasn't the case last year. Hannover's Hecking didn't think we are favourites, and neither did Leverkusen's Skibbe, and a few others that I don't remember.

Anyway, we are tipped as favourites every single season, so this comes as no surprise to me.

However, I'm sure we will have it a little tougher as compared to last season. It's not going to be very easy, especially that we will focus on Europe more.

But, hey, I want the Bundesliga title, nevertheless. And, I'm sure the guys are motivated to win it for sure, as always.

It's gonna be a tough season.

Hannover and Wolfsburg have equipped themselves very well.

Something is not right with those comments, how come every fucking coach says that? gimme a break. I'm sure they all say that so Bayern is more under pressure. I wouldn't mind if we don't win the Bundesliga as long as we manage to win Ch.L. and of course get at least 3rd place in Germany. We don't have any problems winning the Bundesliga and our closest rival in trophies is Mönchengladbach with 5, so no worries at all. The most important thing is to catch up with the other teams in Europe.

Yeah, we should concentrate on CL this season... but I think we need just one more signing for CL.

With the current squad we have, we have the skills capable of winning the CL. What really sets a team apart from the rest of the top skilled Euro teams is total desire and commitment all the way until the end, and a big dose of luck on injuries and who we get drawn against on the latter stages. Then if we make it to the final, we have one night to make it happen. remember what happened against Valencia on the penalty shoot-out. we barely scraped by on that one to win it the last time around. So hopefully Klinsmann has a good plan in motion, and a good rub of the green to make this happen.

A club like Bayern must not be managed in this catastrophic way, we don't have the Mighty one any more, we are 7th or 8th behind the top European clubs today, we are no way near Real or Barca with Alvez and Messi, Inter are the perfect test.

We are nowhere near ManUnited and Chelsea, Liverpool can i think are better, Abstract, we can barely get a draw from Arsenal and thats not good.

We can't set back and Enjoy the next season just because we won the Bundesliga easily last season, remember we didn't beat Getafe properly, Zenit outclassed us.

How can we be happy with just one signing ??

I am taking full responsibility on what I am going to say, next season Bayern will win nothing !!!

maybe the cup, and even not that ... we have Renshit on goal don't forget.

Ridiculous post, Blacko. Hard to believe you're a Bayern fan. But, hey.. thanks! People like you.. doubters, they make the team stronger.

Quote:

Absolutely not true. We always beat Real Madrid, and the tradition continues. Inter? Didn't we beat them at their home last time we took part in CL? We were 1-0 up at Allianz aswell, they only made it 1-1 in the very last second of the match.

What happens in this friendly with Inter this week has no importance. We can loose, they can loose.

I think we'll do well in CL, quarter-finals for sure, and possibly more. I'll be dissapointed only if we don't reach quarterfinals. We are as good as any other team to be honest, I don't see us having any disadvantage compared to other teams.

Okay, maybe one. Our only weak point at the moment is the goalkeeper probably, which I wish we had a better one. But, I'll keep my fingers crossed, and I hope Rensing has a great season. At least, he was great in CL thus far, we never lost.

I ain't scared of any team. In a good day, and with lady luck on our side, we can beat any of our opponents. I have full confidence and faith in the team.

Look at Chelsea.. a team full of stars. Millions spent every year. It took them three (right?) semi-finals to finally reach the final, and they still couldn't win it.

Look at Inter.. millions spent every year. But they can't reach the semi-final.

Look at Real Madrid.. a team full of stars, millions spent every year. They haven't made it to the quarterfinals for some longggg time.

You shouldn't complain much my friend. You should be at least a little optimistic. If we the fans don't support them, who will?

To have success in CL, you need to gain experience, by playing every year, and reaching the final stages. Take Milan for example. Take Chelsea for example.

You can't expect us to get straight to the final. It takes time, and work.

Be patient. I know I will be. Our time will come.

As for the Bundesliga title, of course, I want to win it again. But, if we don't, I won't worry much. We have 21 in our trophy room.

You forgot again to put IMO, Ridiculous is your god damn opinion.

I am true Bayern fan, full of concern and I am not expecting much.

Stop this Bullshit of optimism, we are not looking good, we can't just pray for a miracle, we have no Balance in Midfield that's without mentioning Oliver Kahn's successor who is Undoubtedly the worst peace of shit around.

On a side note, we have a Player like Ribery which I know will make the deference, however, we can't rely on Ribery in the CL not forgetting the fact that he has 0 experience in this campaign which leads us to being desperate to the January transfer window to come so we can but the DM, drop the shitty Keeper and invest more.
