It's a delicate situation. There are so many Podolski fans who would hate to see him leave, but a 25 mil price tag is tough to pass up.
I really hope JK has a plan to keep him around (and frequently in the starting lineup). I'd rather play a 4-3-3 (or something of the like, 4-1-2-1-2) to keep him happy and have the midfield get shuffled around.
Just my opinion.

Being a fan of a player is the worst thing to do when being in a management situation, because you think with your heart and not with your head.
25 million is more than what Podolski is worth, its a steal and you have no choice but to make the move.

Vargas_4 had the best statements about this situation - as I had spent part of last season watching Santa Cruz do so well for Blackburn -- yet we never gave him anymore chances after his injury. As for poldi we ARE seeing an excellent Poldi at the Euro 2008. Yet to let Poldi go at any price would be a mistake. We actually got a steal for him from Koln. This is what Bayern does though, they have the problem of benching the wrong players -- and it is usually the coaches fault -- which is why I had problems with Hitzfeld. he was a great coach, but also he favoured certain players. Even Magath had the same problem when he benched ZeRo, who thank god came back to us. Under Klinsmann Poldi WILL get his chance, I just hope Poldi doesn't make the wrong decisions -- as he is a very impatient player. Also going to the premiership isn't a walk in the park -- look at how long it took Ballack to finally get some of his form back, and Pizarro is now a lost cause -- the only player to do well was Santa Cruz. So who knows.

Juve And Spurs Want Podolski
With three goals during Euro 2008, Lukas Podolski has certainly grabbed the attention. Reports from Germany are claiming that the interest of Italian giants Juventus and Premiership side Tottenham has been particularly awoken.
Podolski, who has struggled to cement a place in the Bayern starting line-up during his first two seasons at the club told the Kölner Express: “I have been informed of the interest from other clubs. That is very interesting for me.”
The 23 year old was limited to being third choice striker last season behind Bundesliga leading scorer Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose and with Bayern reportedly flirting with a move for Mario Gomez, competition for places at the Allianz Arena could be about to hot up even more.
According to reports Spurs have already made an offer of €20 million for Podolski. With Dimitar Berbatov not guaranteed to stay in North London, Poldi could well be being lined up as a direct replacement.
Turin giants Juventus are also reported as being very close to making an official approach.
Podolski joined Bayern after the 2006 World Cup and has made 98 Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarians scoring 31 goals in the process.
For the national team he has scored 28 goals in 51 games.

Defender ?? He is a damn right winger .
If he accepts this in the NT it doesn't mean he is a Fullback now.
No thanks, we need Altintop for the Champions League next season.

Scolari Eyes Schweinsteiger Swoop - Report
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is keen to make Bastian Schweinsteiger one of his first signings, according to reports…
The Bayern Munich midfielder put in a devastating performance as Germany defeated Portugal 3-2 in the quarterfinals of EURO 2008.
The result ended Scolari’s reign as coach of the Seleccao, and the Brazilian will have been impressed by the ease with which the 23-year-old found space on the flanks at St. Jakob Park on Thursday.
Schweinsteiger has already revealed his desire to play in England and has been consistently linked with several Premier League clubs over the past few seasons, most notably Arsenal.
He endured an indifferent campaign at the Allianz Arena last term, during which he was significantly overshadowed by French winger Franck Ribery.
The Blues are in need of some fresh talent on the wings following poor seasons from Shaun Wright-Phillips and Florent Malouda, and it is understood Scolari is pondering a ₤15million bid for Schweinsteiger.

I remember Dragoen's words in the Portugal v Germany thread.
Dragoen said maybe Scolari is interested in Schweinsteiger, after seeing Scolari hugging him.
All of a sudden our players are becoming most wanted.

If I were Scolari I would also want to sign him. I mean he literally bashed my team into the ground twice. So that would a player I would really want.
Plus he said there will be alot of players leaving and Malouda and Wright Phillips will be among them so he wants a winger.

Milan To Swoop For Schweinsteiger?
According to L’Equipe, Milan are hoping to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger, and are ready to meet the German international’s minimum fee release clause.
The Rossoneri have been very active on the transfer market this summer, having already snapped up the likes of Mathieu Flamini and Marco Borriello.
They are still looking to strengthen their squad, and a priority is an alternative to Kaka and Clarence Seedorf in the attacking midfield position.
L’Equipe says that the Diavoli are admirers of Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger, and are ready to meet his minimum fee release clause of €21.5m.
Schweinsteiger had a poor club season for Bayern, however he has been very impressive with Germany at Euro 2008, scoring once and assisting twice in the 3-2 quarter final win over Portugal on Thursday night.
However the 23-year-old is also wanted by a host of Premier League teams, and Chelsea are believed to be one of these.
“England does appeal and it is one of the best Leagues in the world,” Schweinsteiger told The Sunday Mail yesterday.
“I’ve always wanted to play there and we will see what happens this year.”

Bremen are going to get him and Bayern wouldn't sell him to them anyway. Shcweinsteiger has increased his value for Bayern after his latest performances in Euro 2008 -- and Bayern should act quick to give him a new contract and remove the buyout clause. I would really hate to see him go regardless of last season's performance. Especially since getting Hleb looks like it won't happen. I hate to see Bayern weakened by all this exit talk about schweini and poldi -- especially when we aren't seeing anyone coming in down the pipe beyond Borowski and Butt.
