I doubt anyone here has seen more FCB matches than myself. I don't miss any (well, on very rare occassions).

Schweini has become a lazy ass, holds the ball way too much, and does nothing.

Can't believe he turned into such a poor player this season. After MVB, he was our best player last season.

HUGE downfall.

I'm not doubting you watch every match you can, but Schweini is one of my favorite players in all the world and I will just watch him sometimes when I watch games. I agree he had an off year, no doubt, be he still took a number of long shots. I, like all BM fans, just wish he hit the target. Regardless, I'd just like to see him get a chance under JK. I think - others can disagree - he energized Germany in both Euro games. Hopefully he gets the chance to show more of what he's capable of in the knockout stage. ... And excuses get old, but he had injury problems early in the year, then was struggling to get time and then was out of position when he finally started playing regularly.

He didn't take as many shots as he usually does because he was played mostly on the right flank and from there, he can't cut inside and shoot with his right foot.

Schweinsteiger was pretty disappointing last season, but he was also a victim of the system, he is ineffectual on the right.

Manchester United seem to be interested in Lukas Podolski.
Alex Ferguson is ready to offer 20 million pounds (~25 million euros).

Quote:
Alex Ferguson has made no secret of the fact that he is looking for a new striker to replace Louis Saha, and the 23 year-old Podolski is exactly the right blend of age and experience that makes Ferguson sit up and take notice. And at a reasonable price of £20million is well within his means.

Interesting.

Not sure what to make of this. On one hand, selling Podolski for 25m € would be a great business deal, but on the other hand, it would mean we would have to sign another class striker (now it would make sense to get Gomez).

Klinsmann will want to keep him though, I'm pretty sure of that.

I thought Manutd is searching for a bigger striker. Podolski is just as small as Rooney or Tevez. So I doubt that one.

But 25 Million is alot of money. If they really want him you should sell him and get two other strikers because three are clearly too less.

I think that we shouldnt even consider selling German players, especially to other clubs like Man Utd etc, it will just ruin the national team, I'd say forget about selling Germany's potential players like Poldi and replacing them with other countries players(which will only benefit them) and sell those unwanted foreigners and replace them with talented germans who have the potential to be selected.

I have said it numerous times, I will say it again: FC Bayern have destroyed Podolski's career. Not blaming FC Bayern directly for it, but yeah, different circumstances made it impossible for Podolski to find enough play time.

It's very interesting to compare Podolski (in Germany NT) and Podolski (in Bayern), it's two different players.

I'm sure he would be banging a lot goals if he played for another club.

But anyway, I'd be gutted and sad to see him leave us. He's one of my favourite players, and plays for my favourite club.

He has yet to prove himself at FC Bayern, and I think the upcoming season under Klinsmann is his proper chance, and I hope Podolski will use it.

A 25 million offer is of course a very good one. I'd have sold him, only if we were to bring someone better than him.

If we sell him, and bring in Mario Gomez, I wouldn't be happy, because Mario Gomez is not better than Podolski. To be honest, they're not even equal.

Poldi needs to stay, but if this rumour is true -- then he would probably want to go play in the premiereship. I would like him to stay as even 25 mil is not enough money for his potential, and right now money is no object to Bayern. So Bayern need to think -- do we want to do well in the CL? or do we want to cash in on our players? I guess the choice is theirs.

It seems that Poldi with Germany has more freedom with the ball while at Bayern seems for restricted, I guess thats the difference, at Bayern he's a supporting striker(ex. supporting Makaay and Toni), while with the Nt they got Ballack as that role.

Report: Arsenal Linked With Podolski

Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for young Bayern Munich forward Lukas Podolski by The Sunday Mirror...

Podolski, 23, has scored all three of Germany's goals in their two games in Euro 2008 so far, and will no doubt be looking to add some more against Austria this evening in a game the Mannschaft must not lose if they are to qualify for the quarterfinals to face Portugal.

The young forward has made his discontent with his situation at Bayern Munich fairly clear, though he has maintained he will not discuss his future until after Euro 2008.

He has, however, revealed that he has held talk with incoming Bayern boss Jürgen Klinsmann which were initially positive, but should he continue to be on the fringes behind the indomitable Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose, he may well be seeking a summer exit.

The goals will have without doubt caught the attention of some of Europe's bigger clubs, and with Arsenal still having something of a void due to Eduardo da Silva's injury, Podolski may slot in quite comfortably into the Arsenal set-up. Wenger has been in Switzerland and, in a recent interview, alluded to scouting for players; Podolski may well be one of them.

However, with Eduardo poised for an early return, the signing of Podolski may be used by Wenger to fill a slot at left-wing that may well be left by Alexander Hleb, who continues to be linked with a move away from the Emirates' Stadium.

Internazionale were said to be the favourites for the player, only for Jose Mourinho's appointment and the threat of being reported to FIFA for an illegal approach for the player putting an end to those rumours. Real Madrid boss Bernd Schuster declared his admiration for the Belarussian, but the club did not make a formal offer. Their bitter rivals Barcelona were for the last two weeks thought to be on the verge of signing the player, only now they have reportedly pulled out due to Arsenal's excessive asking price. Coincidentally, Bayern Munich have entered the fray as late favourites to sign the player, according to German legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

A potential swap deal is not out of the question, and while Podolski has played as more of a free-role for his country when started in left-wing, Hleb, too, was not a traditional winger, therefore the Polish-born Germany international may fit into Wenger's setup in this regard.
Goal.com - Arsenal - Report: Arsenal Linked With Podolski

If those recent reports (Man Utd, Arsenal..) are true, I'm afraid we might loose him.

I don't think we should let him go.

The other day, as i saw how Paraguay defeated Brazil 2-0 i saw Santa Cruz scoring.

... Then i remembered his really good campaign with Blackburn. Scoring a lot of goals. Great, considering it was his first season.

It got me to think that if we had given the guy more chances, more starts... He could have bagged that same amount of goals for us.

I feel the same way about Podolski. We have to start giving him more chances. Klinsmann coming in might be good for his as it might create a good impact. I REALLY wanna see Podolski shine at FC Bayern Munich.

I'd be gutted to see him leave.

And if he does... Well. At least i got his shirt with his name and number for my birthday.

If you can get 25 million for a bench player than you do it. Podolski has been great on the national stage but his club campaigns have been lackluster the past few seasons.

I would make the move.
