Stefano Celozzi is the last Bayern reserve player that has left the club. He has moved to Karlsruhe SC.

Other reserve players who have also left are captain Thomas Linke (retirement), Matthias Schwarz, Sandro Wagner, Michael Kokocinski and Michael Görlitz.

Old Lady To Scrap Alonso Move For Schweinsteiger?

Juventus are looking to Bastian Schweinsteiger as an alternative for Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso if the Spaniard's move to Turin doesn’t materialise.

The Bianconeri are currently involved in talks with the Reds over Alonso but the Premier League club are taking their time over the whole affair as they try and close a deal for Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry.

Juve are beginning to get tired of waiting for a yes or no answer from Rafa Bentez’s side and they have now turned their attention to Bayern Munich’s Schweinsteiger.

According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, the Old Lady is linning up the midfielder as an alternative to Alonso if the Spaniard's move goes up in smoke.

Reports claim that Bayern are willing to let the player leave and he may be snapped up by Juve who are interested in him.

The 23-year-old spent a large part of the Bundesliga season on the bench last term as he was kept out of the side by Frank Ribery, De Michelis, Van Bommel, Ze Roberto and Podolski.

Juve directors are seriously considering swooping for the midfielder and a deal could take off within the next few days if Liverpool fail to accept the Old Lady’s latest offer for Alonso.

Speaking about the reserves leaving -- these are all great players. We have seen many great players come out of the reserves. Sometimes it makes me mad -- look at players like Misimovic -- he never really got a chance in the first team, but is on fire now. So Bayern should be careful who they let go -- as I hate to see Bayern train these young rising stars only for every other Bundesliga club to get them. Why do other clubs need a good youth system when you have Bayern doing all the work. I guess it is like a money machine to Bayern. I think Bayern will get burned by players they let go. Bayern can't just go on buying elsewhere.

^ Think before you say something. 7 m is a ridiculous, insulting fee.

Schweini costs a minimum of 15 m.

The fact that he was horrible for Bayern this season doesn't mean much.

Everyone knows his abilities. He can bounce back to form.

I completely agree, I'd be furious as hell if they sold him for 7 million. It would really seem like such an unnecessary thing. Like selling him just to get rid of him. As for his contract running out soon, I doubt a rich club as Bayern really care much about 7 million one way or the other (considering Schweinsteiger's potential ability). I'd rather see him go for free if he wants to leave than for a pathetic 7 million.

Rummenigge: Bayern won't sell stars

Bayern Munich stars Franck Ribery and Luca Toni are not for sale according to club president Karl-Heinze Rummenigge.

The supremo believes that the Bundesliga's best player Ribery and top goalscorer Toni are going nowhere, as the first has been linked to Chelsea and the second to Milan.

The German boss understands that selling his best assets would be a huge own goal.

“The fans will kill us if we allow them to leave,” he said.

We will all regret the day Schweinsteiger leaves ... Yes, he needs a kick in the a--, but he's just 23 and a great midfielder already. With a little more maturity, I think he will be a world-class midfielder - just don't expect him to score every time, that's foolish.

Ain't nobody expecting goals from him!

All we want to see is good performances, something that he has not shown since 2006/2007.

After his two goals against Portugal in '06, too many are expecting him to score. That's not what he does best.

Not us here in TalkSoccer.

As we're speaking of this, how many times has Schweini taken a shot from distance this season? Answer is: never!
