Two class wingers and VDV who can play everywhere in the Middle .

maybe you are suffering to a sub, but Podolski is crying in Bayern for warming the bench, what do you think he will do at Real ??

Sneijder isnt a winger, nor is VdV, they are both offensive midfielders. if you stick them to the wings, you're just wasting them.

With Robinho gone, Podolski might get some playing time, seeing as Robben is constantly injured.

Oh and RunX, Nistelrooy shits on Podolski from a great distance. Raul atm is probably better as well.

Poldi Not Focusing On Madrid Rumours

Bayern Munich forward Lukas Podolski is not getting caught up with reports linking him to Spanish giants Real Madrid and insists that for now, he is keeping his focus on the German national team.

The 23 year recently made the bold declaration that he would not have signed for Bayern Munich from 1. FC Köln in 2006 had he known that he would be seeing so little playing time at the Allianz Arena.

And after the reports that he personally went to speak to Bayern director, Uli Hoeness last week about his situation, the Spanish press are now growing excited about the prospect of the player leaving the Bundesliga for the Primera Liga in Spain and in particular, for Real Madrid.

But with Europe gripped in World Cup qualifying fever throughout the week, Podolski is brushing of talks of any possible move to Madrid and assures that he is only focused on his job with Die Mannschaft.

“Now is not the time to speak about this,” he was quoted by Marca.

“I am only concentrating on the German national team and I am only thinking about the games we have to play to qualify for the World Cup,” he added.

Los Blancos coach, Bernd Schuster has been looking for a top class striker all summer long and after the club failed to grant him his request, they may now be ready to splash the cash to acquire Podolski in the January transfer window.

City In For Podolski?

Manchester City are planning a January raid for Bayern Munich striker Lucas Podolski according to the latest transfer speculation.

Although money is no longer an issue for the Eastlands side following the takeover by an Abu Dhabi investment company, their chances will have been dramatically heightened by the fact that the 23-year-old has grown desperately unhappy with his situation at the Allianz Arena.

Still widely perceived as Germany's golden boy, the young forward had hoped that this season would be different from last, when he had to settle for a near permanent place on the Bayern bench. So far that has not been the case, however.

In a recent interview with the 'Bild', the 23-year-old vented his frustration in a manner which makes it hard to argue that his relationship with the club's brass has reached a new low.

The forward joined Bayern from Cologne in 2006, however things have not really worked out for him in Bavaria, and he spent most of last season in the shadows of Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose.

The status quo has remained the same into the new campaign, and last week Podolski sensationally claimed that he wished he had never joined Bayern.

Real Madrid have since been linked with a January bid for the player but now, while Roma and Fiorentina are reported to be looking to capitalise on his discontent in Munich as well.
